In Re Resol. No. ~659 Supporting Senate Bill No. 1988 In Re Amusement Center Berta, Hulbert and DeBernardi On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, Mayor was authorized to sign Resolution Supporting Senate Bill.No. 1988 upholding State rights on Tidelands and forward copy of Resolution to Sheridan Downey, Senator, and the following Resolution entitled "Resolution Supporting Senate Bill No. 19SS" was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3659 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, T~ustees Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees ,W.J. Cheney~.Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith. Mo~e None On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, Emil P. Berta, Raymond J. Hulbert and Isadore DeBernardi, operators of an amusement center on So. Main St., were granted permission to construct a 8} ft. solid fence, which fence shall correspond with one already in place. On motion of Trus'tee Reed, City Council adjourned. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Smith. Present: Trustees W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith. Absent: Trustees None Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of April 19th and April 22nd, 1948, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried. seconded by Mandy and carried, the Santa Aha City Hall Council Chamber May 3rd, 1948. 7:30 P.M. In Re Bids Sewer Pipe In Re Bids Constr. of sewer line Pacific bet 6th & Wash. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, the Clerk was authorized to open bids covering the furnishing of 2300 ft. of 12 inch vitrified clay sewer pipe, as follows~ Bid of-Pacific Clay Products, quoting price of $0.894 per lineal foot for 2300 ft. of 12 inch vitrified clay sewer pipe. Bid bond in the amount of $2§00.00 accompanied bid. Bid of Gladding, McBean & Co quoting price of $0.894 per foot, and $4.024 each for 12~ Wyes. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, the Clerk was authorized to open bids covering construction of saz sewer main line and manholes on Pacific Ave. from 6th St. to Washington Ave., as follows: Bid of James I.
