<br />City Council met for a special meeting for the
<br />purpose of selecting an architect to draw plans
<br />for a new Fire Station, to consider the adoption
<br />of an Ordinance amending the Uniform Building
<br />Code 1946 Edition and any other matters bf
<br />importance to come before the City Council.
<br />

<br />architects submitting basis of fees to draw plans and specificatio~m
<br />for constructfon of proposed new fire station.

<br />authorized to advertise for bids for complete architectural
<br />

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, leaves
<br />of absence were granted D.O.Minter for one month, two weeks to be
<br />without pay; Milton Garrett one week without pay and Fabian
<br />~racamontes two weeks without pay, subject to Civil Service Board.
<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried,
<br />resignation of Wesle~ R. Rowenhorst, police officer, effective
<br />June l~th, 1~48, was accepted.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the
<br />following Ordinance entitled:

<br />effective June 1, 19~$~ and appointments were approved subject to
<br />Civil. Service Board.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried,
<br />request of Chief of Police that Sgt. Richard Bradley be permitted
<br />to att~end the Southern California Association of fingerprint
<br />officers to be held in Reno, June 18th to l~th inclusive, with
<br />
<br />~xpenses paid, was granted.
