Department;~'~.Merle Wilson and Val Lawson, <br /> Park Department and on motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chene <br /> and carried, communications were received, filed and appointments <br /> ~pproved subject to Civil Service Board. <br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, ~econded by Mandy and carried, request <br /> of State Blind Shop for permission to solicit in Santa Aha, with <br /> no stipulated time involved, was referred to Business Men's <br /> ~ssociation for investigation and report back to the Council. <br /> Communication from Planning Commission was read recommending that <br /> Board of Supervisors be urged to ma~ the necessary Allocation of <br /> funds and to order the necessary work to be done on the Delhi <br /> Drainage District ditch, south of Santa Aha, and on motion of <br /> T~ustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, communication was <br /> received, filed and Clerk ins~ruqted to furnish copies of <br /> communication to Mayor Smith and Trustee Reed. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Building Inspector and on motion of <br />Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, the maintenance of <br />the fire alarm s~stem was delegated to the Chief of the Fire <br />~epartment. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />com~Anication from Park Superintendent expressing appreciation for <br />opportunitY to attend National Shade Tree Conference in Santa <br />~arbara, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />notifications of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic <br />beverage applications made by Los Angeles Brewing Co., 809 W. 1st <br /> <br /> <br />
