<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the
<br />
<br />request of Blue Star Mothers of America, for permisst on to solicit
<br />funds October 2~rd and November 6th, 1948, was granted.
<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried,
<br />applications of Virgil W. Cooke and Charles Ernie Pringle, to drive
<br />taxicabs were granted and permits ordered issued.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and carried, the two
<br />quarterly reports for the mosquito abatement district of Orange
<br />County, together with copy of adopted Budget for 1948-49 were
<br />received, filed and Clerk dire'cted to write letter of commendation
<br />to W. D. Obarr, Secretary.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the
<br />report of Diehi and Company covering the period July 1st, 1947 to
<br />June 30th, 1948, was received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the
<br />reports for the month of September, 1948, submitted by Judge's
<br />office, Police Depa-tment and Buklding Inspector, were received
<br />and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the
<br />demands, as audited by the Finance Committee, were approved and
<br />Clerk authorized to draw warrants covering demands numbering 1036
<br />to 1403 inclusive.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, agree-
<br />ment dated September 27th, 1948 between City of Santa Aha and
<br />Chamber of Commerce, was approved and Mayor and Clerk authorized to
<br />execute agreement.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, Mayor
<br /> and Clerk were authorized to execute agreement dated October 4th,
<br /> 1948, between the City of Santa Aha and the Leffingwell Company
<br /> for sale of sludge produced at the treatment plant of the Joint
<br /> Outfall Sewer.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and carried, the
<br /> following Resolution entitled:

<br /> "Resolution Declaring Stop Intersections"
<br />
<br /> at Fifteenth and Parton Streets, Fifteenth and Ross Streets, and
<br /> Washington Avenue and Patton Street, waw read, considered,
<br /> designated Resolution No. 3703 and passed by the following vote;
