<br /> Amending Ordinance No. 1216, entitled
<br /> 'An Ordinance establishing water rates and
<br /> service charges in the City of Santa Ana,
<br /> prescribing rules and regulations governing
<br /> application and installation of service and
<br /> consumption of water, fi~ing the penalty for
<br /> the violation thereof,'ahd repealing Ordinances
<br /> in conflict herewith"

<br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file' for second
<br />
<br />reading.
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Reed,
<br />seconded by Mandy and carried, the bid of Hammes Decorating Co.,
<br />in the amount of $2200.00, was accepted covering the painting of
<br />the elevated water tank near Fourteenth and Poinsettia Streets.
<br />On recommendation of the committee, and on motion of Trustee
<br />
<br />Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the City will offer
<br />
<br />$1800.00 for building in Santiago Park, and if accepted, lease
<br />
<br />between City and Paul Gustlin will be cancelled.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the
<br />
<br />following Resolution entitled:

<br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried,
<br />communication from Charles Linger requesting driveway permitting
<br />parking of nine cars off the street at proposed motel on the
<br />
<br />corner of 17th and Durant Streets, was tabled~ for two weeks.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Ree~, seconded by Cheney and carried, petitic
<br />
<br />signed by four property owners in vicinity of City Pound request-
<br />ing that Pound should not be increased in size and that Council
<br />
<br />make provision for removing same to another location, was received
<br />
<br />filed and first party listed on petition be notified that City is
<br />
<br />not in position to move the Pound to another location as funds
<br />
<br />were not provided for in this year's budget.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, Police
<br />Commissioner ~as authorized to confer with Poundmaster to ascertail
<br />
<br />cost of installing fence around City Pound and report back at next
<br />
<br />meeting.

<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried,
<br />Resolution approving m~ showing portion of an unnamed ~ley pro-
<br />posed to be vacated and abandoned, being an alley north of St.
<br />Andrews Place, between Standard and Evergreen Streets, was tabled
<br />until Attorney investigates to ascertain if 50 ft. strip has been
<br />
<br />Abandoned by the County.
