<br />Ferris Scott appeared before the Counotl and presented petition
<br />siEned by fourteen business men and property owners in the
<br />of Santiago Avenue and East Washington Avenue requesting that
<br />railroad tracks located in the middle of Santiago Avenue be
<br />removed, the entire street paved and its extension to Fourth
<br />Street. On motion of T~ustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, petition was received and filed. On motion of Truste
<br />Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, petition was referred
<br />to committee for study and to report back to the Council.
<br />T~ustees Reed, Cheney and City Engineer, were appointed, as
<br />
<br />committee.

<br />request of Ladies' Auxilia~y of the Military Order of the Purpl
<br />Heart to sell violas, August llth and 12~h, and to locate the

<br />granted.
