Carl Mock <br />(Al Malaikah T~mple) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />American Legion <br />Auxiliary <br /> <br />In Re <br />Resignation <br />of members <br />Traffic Safety Comm. <br /> <br />of West Seeon~ Street between Broadway and Birch Streets, to be <br />used ~s Fire Station site. <br /> <br />On motion cf Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the <br />Pu~ehasingAgent was authorized {o secure quotations for the <br />purchase cf all improvements on Lots 32, 34 and the East 15 feet <br />cf Lot 30 of the Park Tract Addition. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Trustee Cheney stating that had he <br />been present at meeting held September 8th, 1950, he would have <br />cast his vote in favor of the motion to decontrol rents and in <br />favor of the resolution to decontrol rents, as adopted, and on <br />motion of-Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, comm- <br />unication was received and filed. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Fire Chief and on motion of Trustee <br />Martin, seconded by Reed and eamried, the preliminary plans for <br />the Headquarters Fire Station to be located in the three hundred <br />block West Second Street, were approved. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, reques~ <br />of Southern California Bible College for permission to hold <br />meetings was granted. <br /> <br />In the matter of the construction o f a certain street work in <br />Assessment District No. 195, in the City of Santa Aha under <br />Resolution of Intention, Resolution No. 3858, the diagram of the <br />property affected er benefited by the work done under said <br />Resolution and which is to be assessed to pay a portion of the <br />costs and expenses thereof was presented to the Council and <br />examined by the members thereof. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Trustee Martin and <br />unanimously carried, the following order was adopted by the <br /> <br /> Council, to-wit: <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, <br /> does hereby resolve and order that the diagram for the <br /> work done pursuant to Resolution No. 3858 be and the <br /> same is hereby approved, and that the City Clerk shall <br /> certify the fact and date of such approval on said <br /> diagram and shall deliver said diagram immediately to <br /> the City Engineer. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br />request of F. Carl Mock, on behalf of A1 Malaik~h Temple, for <br />permission to hold a parade on Saturday, October 15th, 1950, at <br />approximately 3:00 P.M., was granted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trlxstee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br /> communication from Santa Aha Unit #131, American Legion Auxiliary, <br /> expressing thanks and appreciation for use of Santa Ana Civic <br /> Center in preparing and serving meals to men of Company "L", <br /> 22$th Infantry, National Guard from September 1st to September <br /> 5th~ 1950, was received and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br /> resignations of Gil Yorba, M.E.Pattlllo, L.R.Quick, Barney Kos~er <br /> and Carl Ris, as members of the Santa Aha Traffic Safety <br /> Commission were accepted with regrets and City Attorney <br /> to prepare Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 1207 to be presented <br /> <br /> at the next meeting. <br /> # <br /> <br /> <br />
