On motion cf Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the Pu~ehasingAgent was authorized {o secure quotations for the purchase cf all improvements on Lots 32, 34 and the East 15 feet cf Lot 30 of the Park Tract Addition. Communication was read from Trustee Cheney stating that had he been present at meeting held September 8th, 1950, he would have cast his vote in favor of the motion to decontrol rents and in favor of the resolution to decontrol rents, as adopted, and on motion of-Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, comm- unication was received and filed. On recommendation of the Fire Chief and on motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and eamried, the preliminary plans for the Headquarters Fire Station to be located in the three hundred block West Second Street, were approved. On motion of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, reques~ of Southern California Bible College for permission to hold meetings was granted. In the matter of the construction o f a certain street work in Assessment District No. 195, in the City of Santa Aha under Resolution of Intention, Resolution No. 3858, the diagram of the property affected er benefited by the work done under said Resolution and which is to be assessed to pay a portion of the costs and expenses thereof was presented to the Council and examined by the members thereof. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Trustee Martin and unanimously carried, the following order was adopted by the Council, to-wit: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, does hereby resolve and order that the diagram for the work done pursuant to Resolution No. 3858 be and the same is hereby approved, and that the City Clerk shall certify the fact and date of such approval on said diagram and shall deliver said diagram immediately to the City Engineer. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, request of F. Carl Mock, on behalf of A1 Malaik~h Temple, for permission to hold a parade on Saturday, October 15th, 1950, at approximately 3:00 P.M., was granted. On motion of Trlxstee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, communication from Santa Aha Unit #131, American Legion Auxiliary, expressing thanks and appreciation for use of Santa Ana Civic Center in preparing and serving meals to men of Company "L", 22$th Infantry, National Guard from September 1st to September 5th~ 1950, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the resignations of Gil Yorba, M.E.Pattlllo, L.R.Quick, Barney Kos~er and Carl Ris, as members of the Santa Aha Traffic Safety Commission were accepted with regrets and City Attorney to prepare Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 1207 to be presented at the next meeting. #
