<br />seconded by Martin and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were author-
<br />ized to ekecute agreement between the City and Paul M. Johnson
<br />and Associates for the collection of garbage and trash, for a
<br />period of four years, and report accepted, received and filed.

<br />month of October, 1950, were received and filed~

<br />demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and
<br />
<br />Clerk authorized to issue warrants covering demands,

<br />efa portion of French Str=et, and there being no written or oral
<br />protests, on motion of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Martin and
<br />carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> Abandonment of a Portion of French Street"
<br />
<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. ~008 and passed
<br />

<br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and
<br />variance granted to Board of Education to permit construction of
<br />a public school on Lot ? of the Bates Tract, which is a parcel
<br />containing approximately 9.7 acres, on the west side of Baker
<br />Street and about 1800 feet north of West Seventeenth Street,
<br />
<br /> subject to certain conditions.
<br />.
<br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and name of
<br />Riviera Drive to be applied to that portion of Riverside Drive
<br />lying westerly of Flower Street. On motion of Trustee Martin,
<br />seconded by Reed and carried, committee was appointed to prepare
<br />Ordinance changing name of a portion of Riverside Drive to Riviera
<br />Drive and to report back.at the next meeting. Committee composed of
<br />Attorney and Planning Consultant was appointed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the
<br />following Resolution entitled:

<br />
<br />in the vicinity of Hawley and Fifth Streets, to the M-1 Manufacturl
<br />District, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. $009 and
<br />passed by the following vote:
