Santa Ana City Hall Council Chamber November 16, 1950 l:00 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Present: Trustees Absent: Trustees Courtney R. Chandler, John W. Martin Jr., Virgil H. Reed, Allen A. Mandy. W.J.Cheney Each member cf the City Council havin~ received copies of the Minutes of November 2nd and November 6th, 1950, further read- ing of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Truetee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried. In Re On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and Bids Sewer System Prentice Park Clerk was authorized to ~pen bids for the system in Prentice Pa~k, as follows: carried, the installation of a sewer Anderson Plumbing Company - $2,532.81. Certified check $25~.00 accompanied bid. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the bid was referred to a committee for checking and to report bas. k, Park Superintendent, Purchasing Agent and Building Inspector were In Re Bids Cooking shelter Prentice Park ~ppointed as the committee. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried., the Clerk was authorized to open bids for the construction of a cookin shelter in Prentice Park, as follows: ?amularo-Stromberg, Inc. - $6807.50. Bond in the amount of ten percent bid accompanied bid. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the bid was referred to a committee for checking and to report back. Park Superintendent, Purchasing Agent and Building Inspector were In ~e Notice of Hearing Laguna Beach - Santa Ana Stage Lines appointed as the committee. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, Notice of Hearing of the Laguna ~each Santa Ana Stage Lines for authority to increase passenger fares between Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and intermediate points in Orang In Re Resolution - Buena Park Sanitary District - substitution of valves Joint Outfall Sewer County, was referred to the City Attorney. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, Resolution No. 217 of Buena Park Sanitary District, authorizing th substitution of ~alves not apecified in the plans and specificatio~ and approval ~of additianal costs therefor,~ at the Joint Outfall In Re Resolution - Buena Park Addnl. valve pit Joint Outfall Sewer Sewer, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, Resolution No. 214 of Buena Park Sanlt~ry District, authorizing additiona~ valve pit between Tank No. I and No. 2 as an addition to contract work on the site of the present sewage treatment plant In Re Withdraw offer to sell property for fire station site - Lula Mary Dungan et al at the Joint Outfall Se~.,er, was received and filed. The Clerk read communication from Joseph P. Smith and Lula Mary Dungan advising that offer to sell property at the northeast corner of Broadway and Pine Street, for a fire station site, has been withdrawn from the market and .on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, communication was received and filed. #
