<br /> Reed and carried, offer was taken under advisement.

<br /> request of City Engin~ee~ H.M.Neighbour for permission to attend
<br /> Traffic Safety Conference at Sacramento, on December 7th and 8th,
<br /> 1~50, with expenses paid, was grant'ed.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried,
<br /> request of Virgil H. Reed for permission to leave the state at

<br /> intermittent periods during the next sixty days, was granted.

<br />On recommendation of the Board of Education and on motion of
<br />Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the appointment
<br />of Robert Lateen was approved as a member of the Recreation
<br />Commdssion for a four year term, beginnlng December 2, 1950.
<br />Communication was read from Public Safety Department, Automobile
<br />Club of Southern California advising that they will assist in
<br />completion of a parking study in the critical central area of the
<br />business district, and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by
<br />Reed and carried, H.M.Neighbour, City Engineer, was appointed to
<br />work with the Automobile Club on the parking situation and
<br />
<br />communication filed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carr~led,
<br />comnunicat.io~ from District Engineer, Division of Highways,
<br />stating its reasons for disapproval of a crossing over the Freeway
<br />at Santa Clara Avenue, ~s requested by the City, w,s received and
<br />filed.

<br />On motion ~of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried,
<br />communication from B.T.Woodward requesting certai~ information
<br />reference proposal-of Paul N. Johnson for collection of trash and
<br />garbage, was received and filed.
<br />
<br />Communication was read from City Engineer stating that proposal
<br />with Paul E. Johnson for collection of trash and garbage provides
<br />for the right to park his t~ucks in the City yard and setting
<br />forth reasons why this practice would not be feasible~ and on
<br />
<br />
