Mandy. <br />W.J.Cheney <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of <br />the Minutes of December 7th, 1950, further reading of the <br />Minutes w~s dispensed with and approved on motion of <br />Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried. <br /> <br />In Re On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br />Variance <br />E.A.Walker recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />variance granted to E.A.Walker to permit an automobile paint shop, <br />a six foot wire mesh fence around the lots and all the privil~ges <br /> <br />and uses of the C-1 District except automobile body and fender <br /> <br />work and sheet metal shops on Lots 2 and 3 in Block 8 of Palmer~s <br /> <br />Addition which are located at the southeast corner of Sycamore an~ <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Park SuPt. <br /> <br />Walnut Streets. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and Carried, the <br />request of Dale Griggs, Park Superintendent for permission to <br />attend'the Conference of the American Institute of Park Executive, <br /> <br />in Fresno, January 18, 19 and 20, 1951 was granted and expenses <br /> <br />In Re <br />Commuhication <br />Forgy, Reinhaus & <br />Forgy <br />(retirement credit) <br /> <br />paid as per City regulations. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Forgy, Reinhaus & Forgy with referenc, <br />to firemen receiving retirement credit while in the service durin <br />World War 2, and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Marti <br /> <br />and carTied, communication was referred to the City Attorney for <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communications <br />reference salaries <br />of Inspectors <br /> <br />answer and report. <br />,, <br />Communications were read from Electrical Contractors of Orange <br /> <br />County~ Wm. E. Rung. and F.C.Anderson, with reference to inadequat <br /> <br />salaries of Inspectors in the Building Department and on motion of <br /> <br />Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, a committee was <br /> <br />appointed to investigate wage scales and report back with reoommen <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />F.C.Anderson <br /> <br />ations. Trustees Chandler and Reed, were appointed, as committee <br />Communication was read from F.C.Anderson requesting that Frank <br /> <br />Robinsqn, acting Plumbing Inspector be permanently appointed and <br /> <br />that Civil Service regulations, reference age limit, be waived. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and ca,tied, <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />City Engineer <br /> <br />a committee was appointed to investigate and to determine what <br /> Chandler was appointed, as committee. <br />powers the City would have in waiving such requirements. Hall <br /> <br />In Re <br />Dance <br />Application <br /> <br />was granted, subject to approval of the Chief of Police. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, reques' <br /> <br />of Trino M. Reynoso to conduct public dances, beginning December <br />30th, 1950, and every Saturday evening thereafter, at the V.F.W. <br /> <br />Hall, was granted, subject <br />,, <br /> <br />to approval of the Chief of Police. <br /> <br /> <br />
