<br /> ~ommunication from Chamber of Commerce, together with Resolution
<br /> 'adopted by the Board of Directors were read, requesting that a
<br /> committee be appointed to study the recommendations of the Board
<br /> of Fire Underwriters and to check all possible sites for the
<br /> location of the central fire station. On motion of Trustee
<br /> Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the Chairman was authorized
<br /> to call a special meeting for the purpose of holding a public
<br /> hearing fo~ discussion of fire station sites.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the
<br /> request of Ow!-Mayfair Market that the south side of Commercial
<br /> Street starting at Main Street ~unning west 160 feet, be
<br /> designated as a "No Parking" area, was referred to the City
<br /> Engineer to investigate and report back.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the
<br /> request of Hasty Delivery and Trucking that a twenty-foot loading
<br /> zone be established in the first space north on the east side of
<br /> East First Street, was referred to a committee to investigate and
<br /> report back. Chief of Police and City Engineer, were appointed
<br /> as committee.

<br /> On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee
<br /> Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the Clerk was authorized to
<br /> advertise for bids for the furnishing of 5000 fe,t of 12 inch and
<br /> 10,000 feet of 6 inch, Class 150, Bell and Spigot, cement lined,
<br /> cast iron w~ter pipe, manufactured in accordance with Federal
<br /> Specifications, wW-p-421, Type I or Type II; bids to be opened
<br />
<br /> January 18th, 1951.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br /> application of William A. Moody, 315 South Main Street, to conducl
<br /> the business of dealing in motor vehicles, was granted.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br /> application of L.F.Belousek to drive taxicabs, was granted and
<br />
<br /> permit ordered issued.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the
<br /> report of Diehl and Company for the period ending September 30,
<br /> 1950, together with Statement of Condition of Funds as of
<br /> September 30, 1950, were received and filed.

<br />.Protest of Er. and Mrs. C.V. ~'ooks et al was read,reference
<br />unjust and improper action taken by employees of the Park Depart-
<br />ment against children playing in Memorial Park, and on motion of
<br />Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, matter was referred
<br />to the Park SuperinSendent and Trustee Chandler to investigate and
<br />explain the action of the City.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, claim
<br /> of Rose Toschi, 109 South Ross Street, for alleged injuries was
<br />
<br /> referred to the City Attorney and Insurance Carrier.

<br />A petition was read signed by twenty-two businessmen and property
<br />owners o~ South Main Street requesting that a one-hour parking
<br />zone be established on South Main Street between the adjoining
<br />streets of Pomona and Commercial, also one block east on the
<br />
