<br /> work to be done and improvement to be mede in, on end along
<br /> a portion of Valencia Street in said City, w~ich Resolution
<br /> of Intentio~ No. 1338 was du]y and legally published twice in
<br /> the Sant~ An~ Daily Evening Register, s daily newsp~>er pub-
<br /> l]sbed and cfrcul~ted in the City of S~nts Ane, ,l~ es re-
<br /> quired by l~w, ss ~ppesrs from the ~ffid~vit of Edn~ L.
<br /> Herrick, principal clerk of the printers and publishers of
<br /> s~id daily newspaper, and which affidevit was filed in the
<br /> office of the C~rk of the 6ity of Sonta Ane on t~e 18th d~y
<br /> of September, 1924, and now on file therein; ~nd
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of said
<br />Resolution of I~tention No. 1Z38, the Street Superintendent
<br />of the City of S~nta Aris conspicuously posted ~long the line
<br />of the contemplated work and improvement, ~t not more than
<br />three hundred (300) feet in dlst~ce apart, and S4 in ~]],
<br />notices of the p, ss~ge cf said Resolution of Intention, hea-
<br />ded NOTICE OF I~,3'ROVE$~T, in manner, form ~nd substance es
<br />Drovided by l~w, ~md the work being ch,r~e~ble upon ~ dis-
<br />trict, also consp!cuousl~ posted copies of saf. d notice along
<br />,t] of the open streets ~nd ~]]eys within such district, not
<br />more than three hundred (300) feet in distsmce apmrt on each
<br />street, and d~d post on each street st least 3 notices$ and
<br />on s~id streets 24 notices; and
<br />
<br /> ~HEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of
<br />
<br />Santa An~ comm~enced to
<br />September, 1~24, ~nd fully
<br />the 22nd day of September,
<br />
<br />said not~ces on the 22nd day of
<br />completed the posting thereof on
<br />1924, more than ten days before
<br />
<br />the day set for he,ring protests or objections to the propoSe~
<br />work ~nd improvement, ali as appears by the affidavit of W.G.
<br />Knox, Street Uuperintendent of the City of Santa Aha, fi]ed
<br />in the office of the Clerk of said City on the 23rd day of
<br />Sent., 1924, ~nd now on f~]e therein; and

<br /> WHEP~EAS,the hoerd of Trustees of the City of Santa
<br />An, w~s duly in regular session at the Council C?amber there-
<br />of st the hour of V:30 o'clock P.M. of Monday the 8th day of
<br />October, 1924, being the day, hour and place named in the
<br />Resolution of Intention ~nd Notice of Improvement, when and
<br />where any and all persons having any objection to the pro~o~d
<br />work or improveme~t might zppear before the Board of Trustees
<br />and show c.use why ssld proposed improvement should not be
<br />carried out in accordance with said Hesolution of Intention;
