recorded on the 1st day of September, 1925, for the work and <br />improvement made by Griffith Co. under that certain contract <br />awarded to it on the 20th day of April, 1925, on North Baker <br />Street; and that said warrant, assessment and diagram were <br />returned to the Street Superintendent of said City, together <br />with a written statement of all payments received upon the <br />said assessment, and after the full expiration of twenty (20] <br />days fro~ the date of said warrant, the Street Superintendent <br />duly made ~nd filed with the City Clerk of said City of Sant~ <br />Aha, a complete list of all assessments unpaid upon the said <br />assessment, which list is now on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk of said City, now upon evidence shov~ this Board <br />determines that the assessments therein mentioned were then <br />unpaid,the total aggregate thereof being the sum of Nineteen <br />Thousand Twenty-nine and 50/100 (~19,029.80) Dollars, ~nd <br />that no assessments have since been paid, and that there now <br />remains unpaid the sum of Nineteen Thousand Twenty-nine and <br />50/100 ($19,029.$0) Dollars upon the assessments sho~rn upon <br />said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Re~lution of Intentio~ <br />No. 1430 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa <br />passed the 18th day of February, 1925, for a complete desc~t! <br />tion of the work herein mentioned, and to the llst of ~mpaid <br />assessEents filed as above noted, for the assessments unpaid. <br /> <br /> AND 7~EREAS, interested persons were notified in <br />the manner required by law to appear before the Board of <br />Trustees of the s~id City of Santa Aha, California, in the <br />Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, at the hour <br />~:~0 o~clock P.M. of Monday, the Sth day e~ 0ctober~ 192~, <br />and show c~use why bond~ should not be issued upon the secua <br />rlty o? the unpaid assessments shown on sa~d Str,-~et Superin- <br />tendent~s list; ~nd <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice was duly given in the ~anner ~nd <br />form required by law that serial bonds to represent unpaid <br />assessments bearing interest at the rate of six (6~) per cen~ <br />per ann~nu will be issued hereunder in the manner provided in <br />the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915", the last installment of <br />which bonds shall mature nine (9) years from the 2nd day of <br />July, next succeeding ten (10) ~onths from their date. <br /> <br /> And all'interested persons having a?peared before <br />this Board of Trustees and havln~ been Liven full opportu- <br />nity to show cause why bonds should not be ~ssued upon the <br />security of the unpaid assessments shown on said list, and <br />al/. objections presented h~ving been heard and considered; <br /> <br /> NOW BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trust~es doe~ <br />~ereby find ~,nd determine that no cause has been shown why <br />bonds should not be issued upon the security of s~id <br /> <br /> <br />
