($4,846.26), but not exceeding the cost of the said improve- ment, shall be paid out of the treasury of the City of Santa Ara, from the fund therein created and existing, designated "East F~st Street Improvement Bond Fund." The Street Super- intendent in making up the assessment for the cost and ex- penses of said improveme~t shall first deduct from the whole cost, and expenses thereof, the said sum of Four Thousand, Eight Hundred Forty-six Dollars and twenty-six cents ($4,846.26), and shall, after any other deductions hereinaf- ter in this Resolution ordered, assess the remainder of said costs and expenses upon the lots, parts of lots, and lands, liable to be assessed for such work, and in the manner pro- vided by law, as is hereinbefore set forth in Section IV of this Resolution of Intention. The Board of T~ustees of the City of Santa Ana hereby orders that that part of the cost and expenses of the improvement of the hereinabove described portions of streets equal to and in the full sum of Nineteen Thousand Five Hun- dred Dollars ($19,S00.00) but not exceeding the cost of said improvement over and above the sum of Four Thousand, Eight Hundred Forty-six Dollars and twenty-six cents ($4,846.26) hereinabove provided to be applied, shall be paid out of the Treasury of the City of Santa Ara from the General Fund of said City. The Street Superintendent in making up the asses~ merit for the costs and expenses of said improvement shall first deduct from the whole cost and expenses thereof the said sum of Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($19~500.0( over and above the deduction heretofore in this Resolution ordered, to-wit, Fottr Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-six Dol- lars and twenty-six cents ($4,846.26),and shall assess the remainder of said costs and expenses upon the lots, parts of lots, and lands, liable to be assessed for such work, and in the Banner provided by law, as is hereinbefore set forth in this Resolution of Intention. Notice is hereby given that on Mondal the S~th day of November, 192§, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City of Santa Ana, any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the said Board of Trus- tees and show cause why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with this Resolution. Any and all persons wishing to protest said im- provement or the assessment district, or both, should file with the City Clerk prior to the date herein set forth, writ- ten protests, setting forth the grounds of their objections.
