RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 1820 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did in open session at an adjourned regular meeting thereof, on the 12th day of September, 1927, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work, under Resolution of Intention No. 1801, in the City of Santa Ara, to-wit: The furnishing, installation and construction of an ornamental lighting system on Main Street from the north line of First Street to the sOUth line of Sixth Street; the south ten feet of Third Street from a line ten feet west of and parallel to the west line of Main Street to a line ninety feet east of and parallel to the east line of Main Street; and Four1 Street from the east line of Main Street to a line ten feet east ef and parallel thereto, 'together with the necessary appurtenances to said lighting system, including the installa- tion of thirty do~bie light standards ef the type and kind kno~ am King Ornamental ~tdndard design, drawing No. K-Oi~I complete inoluAing concrete foundations, achor bolts, potheads, wiring, lamps, globes, canopies, conduits, cables, and all necessary items to complete the lighting system, including the making of necessity connections to existing systems and the connections between standards and the repairing of all curbs, sidewalks, culverts, pavements, ar other improvements, cut or damaged duri the construction, together with such other work and improvemen~ as shown on the plans and specifications, which shall be con- sidered as incidental to the above described work and improve- ment. That all of the existing light standards, glass-ware, cables, etc. which are a part of the old system on Main Street betwe~..~econd Street and Sixth Street and shown on tho plans to be removed shall become the property of the Contractor. That for the installation of the hereinbefore described system, a patented article will be used and a license agreement between the patent owner and the City of Santa Ara ia now en file in the ~ffice of the City Clerk, to which said agreement reference i~ hereby made and the same is made a part ef this Resolution of Intention by reference the same as thigh set forth in full herein. Resolved: That the said City Council hereby reJectw all of said proposals or bids except the next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the c e~tract for doing maid work and improve- ment to the lowest responsgble bidder, to-wit: A.
