1-16 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1833 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDER THE <br /> INSTALLATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF AN ORNAMENTAL <br /> LIGHTING SYSTEM ON NORTH BROADWAY FROM SIXTH STREET <br /> TO SANTA CLARA AVENUE AND A PORTION OF FIFTEENTH <br /> STREET; DECLARING THE SAID WORK TO BE OR MORE THAN <br /> LOCAL OR ORE, NARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; DECLARING THE <br /> DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED BY SAID WORK AND IMPROVE- <br /> MENT AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COSTS AND <br /> EXPENSES THEREOF; DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE <br /> ISSUED TO REPRESENT SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES; AND <br /> FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS <br /> · 0 8AID WORK OR IMPROVEMENT, OR TO 1HE EXTENT OF <br /> THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana pursuant <br />to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 and the <br />Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments to said acts, do <br />resolve as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the p~blic interest and convenienct <br />requi~es, and it is the intention of the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Aha, California, to order the construction of t! <br />following described work and improvement in said City, to-wit <br /> <br /> The furnishing, installation and construction of an <br />ornamental lighting system on Broadway from the No~.th line of <br />Sixth Street to the South line of Santa Clara Avenue and <br />Fifteenth Street, from the East line of Broadway to a line 12,~ <br />feet East of and parallel thereto, So,ether with the necessa.~ <br />appurtenances to said lighting system, including the inst all- <br />ation of seventy-nine (vg) double light standards of the type <br />and kind known as King Ornamental Standard Design, Drawing <br />NO. K-01~I complete, including concrete foundations, anchor <br />bolts, potheads, wiring, lamps, globes, canopies, conduits, <br />cables and other necessary items to complete the lighting <br />system, including the making of necessary connections to the <br />vault on Fifteenth Street from which the system is to be fed, <br />and making the connections between standards, and the repairix <br />of all curbs, sidewalks, culverts, pavements or other improve. <br />ments cut or damaged during the construction, together with <br />such other work and improvement as shown on the plans and <br />specifications, which shall be considered as incidental to <br />the above described work and improvement. <br /> <br /> That for the installation of the hereinbefore <br />described system a ~m tented article will be used and a licens~ <br />agreement between Western Lightlug Company, selling agents fo~ <br />King Compsr~ and General Electric Company, patent owner, and <br />the City of Santa Ana is now on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk, to which said agreement reference is hereby made, <br />and the same is made a part of this Resolution of Intention b~ <br />reference the same ss though set forth in full herein. <br /> <br /> pLANS, PROFILES, CROSS-SECTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS. <br /> <br /> Section 2:411 of the foregoing work is fully set <br /> <br /> <br />
