RESOLUTION NO. 1917 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTI~ OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, DETERMINING AND DECLARING THAT ~TEEDS <br />¥.~IICH BEAR S~LEDS ~ A WING¥ OR DOWNY NATURE ~D <br />ATTAIN SUCH A LARGE GR~f~H AS TO BECOL~ A FIRE <br />~NACE ~EN ~RY, AND V~ICH ARE NOXIOUS AND <br />DANGEROUS, ARE GROV,~NG UPON CERTAIN STREETS, SIDE- <br />WALKS AND PRIV&TE PROPERTY IN SAID CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA, AND ARE A PUBLIC NUISANCE; DIRECTING THE <br />STREET SUPERINTENDENT TO POST NOTICES TO DESTROY <br />SAID ~'~EDS AS REQUIRED BY LAW; FIXING THE TI~.~ FOR <br />REARING OBJECTIONS AND PROTESTS, AND DIRECTING THE <br />ABATE~fENT THEREOF IN ACCORD&NCE WITH AN ACT OF TEE <br />LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ENTITLED, <br />"AN ACT AUTHORIZING EUNICIPELITI~ TO DECLARE <br />NOXIOUS OR DANGEROUS ~EDS GROWING UPON THE STREETS <br />OR SIDEWALKS OR UPON PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN <br />MIE~ICIPALITIES TO BE A PUBLIC NUIS~MNCE, CREATING A <br />LIEN UPON THE PROPERTY FRONTING UPON SUCH STREETS <br />0R SIDEWALKS, OR UPON V£qICH SUCH NUISANCE EXISTS <br />FOR THE COST OF ~£ATING THE S~, APPROVED MAY 26~ <br />1915", AND M,~NDMENTS THERETO: <br /> <br />The City Cotuucil of the City of Santa Ana do resolve as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the <br /> <br />Legislature of the State of California, entitled "An Act Authorizing <br /> <br />Municipalities to Declare Noxious or Dangerous Weeds Growing upon <br /> <br />the Streets or Sidewatlks, or upon Private Property within <br /> <br />Municipalities to be a Public Nuisance Cre~ting a Lien upon the <br /> <br />Property Fronting upon such Streets or Sidewalks or upon which such <br /> <br />Nuisance Exists for the Cost of Abating the Same, Approved ~Jay 26, <br /> <br />191~", and mmendments thereto, the City Co~mcil of the City of <br /> <br />Santa Ana hereby determines and declares that weeds which bear <br /> <br />seeds of a wingy or dovmy nature, or attain such a large growth as <br /> <br />to become a fire menace when dray, and which are noxious and dangerou: <br /> <br />are growing upon certain streets, sidewalks and private property in <br /> <br />said City, and that the property fronting upon such streets or side- <br /> <br />walks, or upon which such nuisance exists are particularly described <br /> <br />as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> <br />
