RESOLU~ION N,0,,. !9~0 RESOLUTION CALLING ELECTION ON ANNEXATION OF "COSTA MESA ADDITION". WHEREAS,*the City Council of the City of Santa Arm did on the 14th day of March, 1928, receive a written petition asking that certain new territory hereinafter described be annexed to, incorporated in and made a pert of the said City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has found that said written petition was signed by not less than one-fourth in number of the qualified electors residing within said territory, as shown by the Registration of Voters of Orange County, California; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, ~ RESOLVE~ AS FOLLOWS: 1. A special election is hereby called and ordered to be held in the territory hereinafter described for the purpose of submitting to the electors residing in said territory the question whether said territory shall be annexed to, incorporated'in, and made a part of said City of Santa Aha. A notice shall be given of said election by the publication of a notice thereof in the "Newport News", a weekly newspaper ef general circulation printed and published outside said City of Santa Aha but in the County of Orange, California, in which said territory is situated, at least once a week for four (4) successive weeks next preceding the date of said election; said notice to be in words and figures substantially as follows: HOTICEOF S~CIAL ELECTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That a special election will be held in the territory hereinafter described, designated as the "Costa Mesa Addition", on Tuesday, the 22nd day of May, 1928, for the purpose of submitting to the electors residing in said territory the question whether said territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in, and made a part of said City of Santa Aha. The territory so proposed to be annexed is particularly described as follows, to-wit: Ail that certain real property situated in the County of Orange and particularly described as follows: Beginning at q point on the Southerly boundary line of the City of Santa Aha, California, which line is the South line of Section 24, Township S South, Range 10 West, S.B.B.&.M., said point being distant 25 feet Easterly from the Southwest corner of said Section 24 and said point being also on the Northerly extended Easterly line of Bristol Street; thence South- erly along the said Easterly line of Bristol Street to an intersection with the Southerly line of Talbert Avenue; thence Westerly along said Southerly line of Talbert Avenue to an intersection with the Easterly line of Bristol Street as it exists South of Talbert Avenue; thence Southerly along the said Easterly line of Bristol Street and its Southerly extension to an intersection with the Southerly line of Sunflower Avenue; thence Southerly in a straight line to the Northwest corner of Lot 3, Block D, of the Berry Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 9, Page 6,
