sOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION

<br /> WHEREAS, a special election was held in that territory
<br />known as "West Orange Addition", on Wednesday, the 25th day of April
<br />1928, pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of
<br />June ll, 1913, relating to the annexation of territory to
<br />municipalities, and found in the Statutes of 1913, Page 887, as sub-
<br />sequently a~ended, at which election there was submitted the questio~
<br />of whether said new territory hereinafter described should be
<br />annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of the City of Santa
<br />Ana; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of said election was given by publication,
<br />in the time, form and manner as required by said act, as appears
<br />the affidavit of 0razor,News, on file with the City Clerk; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, it appears that said special election was duly
<br />held in accordance with law and said notice on Wednesday, the 25th
<br />day of April, 1928, and that the polls for said election were kept
<br />open during the time required by law, to-wit: from six otclock A.M.
<br />to seven otclcck P.M. cf said day, and that said special election
<br />was held and conducted, and the votes thereof received and canvasse,
<br />and the result thereof determined and declared, in the time, form
<br />and manner requiredby law; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, The City Council ef the City of Santa Ana did on
<br />Monday, the 50th day of April, 1928, being the time provided for its
<br />regular meeting next after the expiration of three days fr~ and
<br />after the date of said election, meet and proceed to convass the
<br />returns of said special election as ~equired by law. Whereupon,
<br />the result of said canvass having been found to be as hereinafter
<br />
<br />stated,

<br />follows:

<br />The City Council of the City of Santa Ama do resolve as
<br />
<br />1. That the new territory proposed to be annexed to said
<br />
<br />City of Santa Ama as aforesaid is particularly described as follows,
<br />
<br />to-wit:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at a point in the Westerly line of North
<br />Main Street, said point being 100 fe~t North of the Northerly
<br />Boundary line of the City of Santa Ama, Orange County,
<br />California; running thence Northerly along the Westerly line
<br />of North Main Street to an intersection with the Southerly
<br />line of Chapman Avenue; running thence Westerly along the
<br />Southerly line of Chapman Avenue to an intersection with the
<br />Westerly line of property deeded by T.R.Lawrence to Frank
<br />M. Luton and wife, September 3rd, 192~, as recorded in Book
<br />605, Page 32V of Deeds, Records of Orange County, California;
<br />thence Southerly along said W~s~erly line of said Luton
<br />property to the southwest corner of said Luton property;
<br />thence Easterly along the Southerly line of said Luton
<br />property to an intersection with a line drawn parallel to
<br />and distant 180 feet ~esterly from the ~esterly line of
<br />Flower Street as it new..exists South of Chapman Avenue in the
<br />Lockhart Tract, as recorded in Book 4, Pages S12 and 813,
<br />Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California;
<br />thence Southerly along said line drawn parallel to and distant
<br />180 feet Westerly from the Westerly line of said Flower
<br />Street and the Southerly extension of said line to an inter-
<br />wection with the Westerly extension of a line d~awn parallel
<br />
