RESOLUTION NO. 194S RESOLUTION CALLING ELECTION ON AI~TION OF "NORTH END ADDITION". V~HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on the 16th day of May, 1928, receive a written petition asking that certain new territory hereinafter described be annexed to, incorporate, in, and made a part of the said City of Santa Ana; and V~HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has found that said written petition was signed by not less than one-fourth in number of the qualified electors residing within said territory, as shown by the Registration of Voters of Orange County, California; N0~V, TItEREFORE, T~LE CITM COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: special election is hereby called and ordered to be held in the territory hereinafter described, for the purpose of sub- mitting to the electors residing in said territory the question whether said territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in, and made a part of the City of Santa Aha. A notice shall be given of said election by the publication of a notice thereof in the Orange Daily News, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published outside said City of Santa Ana, but in the County of Orange, California, in which said territory is situated, at least once a week for four successive weeks next preceding the date of said election; said notice to be in words and figt~reS substantially as follows: NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That a special election will be held in the territor7 hereinafter describod, designated as the "North End Additzon", on Friday, the 15th day of June, 1928, for the purpose of submitting to the electors residing in said territor~y the question whether said territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of said City of Santa Ana. The territory so proposed to be annexed is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point in the Northerly Boundary line of the City of Santa Ana, California, said point being 7~0 feet Westerly from the Westerly line of North Main Street as it exists North of the Northerly Boundary of the City of Santa Aha; thence Northerly along a line drawnnparallel to and distant 770 feet Westerly from the~Westerly line of North Main Street to an intersection with a line drawn parallel to and distant 200 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of Chapman Avenue as it exists West of the said North Main Street; thence Westerly along said line dragon parallel to and distant 200 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of said Chapman Avenue to an intersection with the Northwesterly line of property deeded by T. R. Lawrence to Frank M. Luton and wife, September 3rd, 1925, as recorded in Book 605, Page 327 of Deeds, Records of Orange County, California; thence Northeasterly along said Northwesterly line of said Luton property to an intersection with the Southerly line of said Chapman Avenue; thence Easterly along the Southerly line of said Chapman Avenue to an inter- section with a line drawn parallel to and distant 446.82 feet Westerly from the center line of said North Main Street; thence Southerly along said line d~awn parallel to and distant 448.82 feet Westerly fr~ the center line of said North Hain Street to an intersection with a line drawn parallel to and distant 330 feet Southerly from the center line of said Chapman Avenue; thence Easterly along said last mentioned line a distance of 264 feet to a point; thence Northerly along a line drawn parallel to and distant 182.82 feet ~esterly from the center line of said North Hain Street to an intersection with the Southerly line of said Chapman Avenue; thence Easterly along the Southerly line of Chapman Avenue to an intersection with
