RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION

<br /> NO. 1950
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a special election was held in that territory known as
<br />
<br />"Costa Mesa Addition", on Tuesday, the 22nd day of May, 1928, pursuant to the
<br />
<br />provisions of An Act of the Legislature of June 11, 1910, relating to the
<br />
<br />annexation of territory to municipalities, and found in the Statutes of 1913,
<br />
<br />Page 587, as subsequently amended, at which election there was submitted the
<br />
<br />question of whether said new territory hereinafter described should be annexed
<br />
<br />to~ incorporated in and made a part of the Oity of Santa Ana; s~d
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, notice of said election was given by publica~on, in the
<br />
<br />time, form and manner as required by said Act, as appears from the affidavit
<br />
<br />of S. A. Meyer on file with the City Clerk; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it appea:s £hat said special election was d~ly held in accor
<br />
<br />ance with law and said notice on Tuesday, the 22nd day of May, 1928, and that
<br />
<br />polls for said election were kept open during the time required by law, to-wit,
<br />
<br />from six o'clock A.M. to seven o'clock P.M. of said day, and that said special
<br />
<br />election was held and conducted, and the votes thereof received and canvassed
<br />
<br />and the result thereof detex~nined ~nd declared, in the time, form and manner
<br />
<br />required by law; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Santa Aha did on MondaM,
<br />
<br />the 28th day of May, 1928, being the time provided for its result meeting
<br />
<br />next after the expiration of three days from and after the date of said electio
<br />
<br />meet and proceed to canvass the returns of said special election as required by
<br />
<br />law. Whereupon, the result of said canvass having been found to be as here-
<br />
<br />lnafter stated.

<br />The City Council of the City of ~anta Aha do resolve as follows:
<br />
<br />1. ~at the new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of
<br />
<br />Santa Ana as aforesaid is particularly described as follows, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at a point on the Southerly ooundary line of the City of
<br />Santa Aha, California, which line is the South line of Section 24, Township §
<br />South, Range 10 West, S.B.B.&.M., said point being distant 25 feet Easterly
<br />from the Southwest corner of said Section 24 and said point being also on the
<br />Northerly extended Easterly line of Bristol Street; thence Southerly along the
<br />Easterly line of Bristol Street to an intersection with the Southerly line of
<br />Talbert Avenue; thence Westerly along said Southerly line off, bert Avenue to
<br />an intersection with The Easterly line of Bristol Street ~s it exists South of
<br />Talbert Avenue; thence Southerly along the said Easterly line of Bristol
<br />Street and its Southerly extension to an intersection with the Southerly line
<br />of Sunflower Avenue; thence Southerly in a straight line to the Northwest
<br />corner of Lot 3, Block D, of the Berry '~act as shown on a ~ thereof recorde~
<br />in Book 9, Page 6, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California;
<br />thence Southerly along the Westerly line of Lot 3 of said Berry Tract and
<br />along the Westerly line of Lots 4 and 9 of ~lock "E" and Lot 2 of Block "F" of
<br />the Berry Tract as recorded in Book 30, Page ?4, Miscellaneous Records of Los
<br />Angeles County, California to the Southwest corner of The said Lot 2; thence
<br />Westerl~ in a straight line to the Northwest corner of Lot 6 o~ said Block "F";
<br />thence Southerly along t~e Westerly line of Lot 6 of said Block "F" to the
<br />Southwest corner thereof, thence Southwesterly in a straight line to the North-
<br />west corner of Lot 4, of Tract No. 1~6 as shown on a map thereof recorded in
<br />Miscellaneous Maps, ~ook 11, Page 47, Records of Orange County, California;
<br />thence Westerly along The Northerly line of said Tract No. 156 and along the
<br />Northerly line of Tract No. 9 as shown on a map thereof on file in Miscellaneou
<br />Maps, Book 9, Page 9, Records of Orange County, California, and along a
<br />Westerly extension of said last mentioned line to an intersection with ~he
<br />Northeasterly extended southeasterly line of Pacific Avenue as recorded on a
<br />map of Fai~view Highlands Tract No. 683 on file in Miscellaneous Maps, Book
<br />19, Page 42, Records of Orange County, California; thence Southwesterly along
<br />the northeasterly extension of said Southeasterly line of Pacific Avenue and
<br />along the said Southeasterly line of Pacific Avenue to an intersection with The
<br />Northerly line of Victoria Street as recorded on a map of said Fairview High-
<br />lands Tract No. 653; thence Westerly along the Northerly line of ¥ictoria
<br />Street to an intersection with the Northerly extended Westerly line of Block
<br />
