~SOLUTION ORDERING WORK

<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council or the uity or Santa Aha, on the
<br />
<br /> day of July, 192o, passed ita Resolution of Intention, No. 1981, to o~der the
<br /> hereinafter described work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and
<br /> along that open public street in said City, commonly known as and called
<br /> Western Avenue, ~e~ween the North line or ~irst ~treet and The South line of
<br /> Eighth Street, which Resolution of Intention No. l~ol was duly and legally
<br /> published twice in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper
<br /> puolished and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, all as required by law~
<br /> ~s appears from the affidavi~ of W. Lee Millis~ principal clerk of the
<br /> printers and publishers of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was
<br /> filed in the office of the clerk of the City of santa Aha, on the 20th day
<br /> of July, 1928; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of said Resolution of
<br /> Intention No. 1981, ~he Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha
<br /> conspicuously posted along the line of the contemplated work and improvement,
<br /> at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and 30 in all,
<br /> notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF
<br /> IMPROVEMENT, in the manner, form and suostance as required Dy law, and the
<br /> work being chargeable upon a district, also conspicuously posted copies of
<br /> said notice along all of the open streets within such district at not more
<br /> than three hundred (300) fee~ in distance apart, as appears from the affidavl~
<br /> of C.L.Jenken, said Street Superintendent, who personally posted notices of
<br /> improvement; and
<br />
<br /> WIiEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana,
<br />commenced to post said notices on the 2§~h day of July, i~2~, an~ fully
<br />completed the p~ ting thereof on the 25tn day of July, 1928, more than ten
<br />(lC) days before the date set for hearing protests or oOjec~ions to the pro-
<br />p~ ed work and improvement, all as a~pears from the affidavi= or u.L. Jenken
<br />StPeet Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, filed in the office of the
<br />Clerk of said Oity on the 30th day of July, 1928, and now on file therein; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, zhe City Council of the uity of Santa Aua was duly and
<br />regularly in session at The Council Chamber thereof at the hour of 7:30
<br />o'clock P.M. on Monday, the 6th day of August, l~, ueing the time, hour and
<br />place named in the Resolution of Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and
<br />where any and all persons having any objection to the proposed work or
<br />improvement may appear before the City Council and show cause why said propose~
<br />work shoul~ no~ be carried ou~ in accordance with said Resolution of
<br />Intention No. 198i; ana

<br /> WHEREAS, ali protests or obJec=ions presented navlng been ctsposed
<br />of, overruled and denied, in time, manner and form as required by law, and the
<br />City Council or the city of Santa Ana having acquired jurisdiction to order tn~
<br />proposed work Gone and improvement made:
