RESOLUTION 0F A%¥ARD NO. V~EREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did, in open session, at a regular meeting thereof, on the lVth day of September~ 1928, publicly oi~n, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids fo~ doing the following work, uz~der Resolution of Intention No. 1991, in the City of Santa .~na, to-wit: That the portions of streets in the City of Santa Ana upon which work shall be done and improvements made as hereinafter set forth are upon and along those open public streets commonly known as and called Ross Street, b~tween the center line of "~ashington Argue and the Southez line of Sevent~enth Street, and the South half of Sixteenth Street betwee the East line of Ross Street and the center line of Durant Street; excepting therefrom any of said work already done to the official grade. That the work to be done and improvements to be made upon and along the hereinbefore described portions of said streets in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk shall be as follows: Ross Street between the center line of Washington Avenue and the Westerly extended Southerly line of Fifteenth Street shall be graded and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement from the Easterly curb llne to a line drBwn parallel to and distant forty-two (42) feet Westerly from the Easterly line of said Ross Street, and ~ere cross streets or alleys intersect the grading and paving shall extend back of the curb line to the extended property lines of said street, and at driveway locations the grading and paving shall extend back of the curb line to the street side of the sidewalk, and all as particularly indicated on and in acC~ dance with tile plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. Ross Street between the ~esterly extended southerly line of Fifteenth Street and the Southerly line of Seventeenth Street, excepting therefrom the ~asterly thirty (30) feet of said J~oss Street, between the center line of Sixteenth street, and the Southerly line of Seventeenth Street shall be graded and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement from curb line to curb line, and where cross streets or allelys intersect the grading and ~ ving shall extend back of the curb linea to the extended property lines of said street, and at driveway locations the grading and paving shall extend back of the curb lines to the street side of the sidewalk, excepting from all of the above described work any work already done to the official grade, all as parti m~larly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. That the hereinbefore described portion of Sixteenth Street sha be graded and paved with asphaltic concrete ~vement, from the Southerly curb line to the center line of said street, and at driveway locations, the grading and paving sl~ll extend back cf the curb line to the street side of the sidewalk, excepting therefrom say of s~d work ~ready done to the official grande, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter menticaed. The excavation for and construction of Portland cen~nt concrete curbs upon and along the hereinbefore described p~tion of streets, where curbs are indicated on the plans to be built, all as particularly indicated, on and in accordance with the plans and specifications herein- after mentioned. The excavation for and conmSruction of Salt Glazed Vitrified Clay Pipe House connecting sewers, together with all eight bends, disc seals and other necessary appurtenances thereto, constructed, at depths and locations, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. The excavation for and construction of Portland Cement Concrete Na~oles, complete with cast iron frames afld covers, constructed at locations and grades, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. The excavation for and construction of copper house service water connections, including all connections, corporatim~ cocks, fittings and ali necessary appurtenances thereto, installed on the hereinbefore described portion of Ross Street, from the existing water main at right angles thereto, and extending to a point one foot back of the curb lines and at such locations and depths as are particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. The excavation for and construction of house service gas connections, incl~Jding all necessary cocks, fittings and appurtenances, thereto installed from the existing gas main at right angles thereto, and extending to the property llne, and at much locations and depths as a: particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specific- ations hereinafter mentioned.
