~ Reference is hereby m~de to the map of said assesmment district,
<br />approved by said City Council, and on file in the office of the Clerk of said Cit
<br />Council, which indicates by a boundary line the extorts of suc~district, and which
<br />shall govern for all details as to the extent thereof.
<br />
<br /> The said City Council further declares that the following lands included
<br />within said assessment district, and particularly described aa follows, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> The North 1SO feet of Lot Seven (V), Bleeta Subdivision, recorded
<br /> in Mis,~el~aneous Record Maps, Book 1, Page 67, Records of Orange County;
<br /> Also the East one-half of Lot ~ourteen (14), and ali of Lot Thirteen
<br /> (13), Block "G",Bleets Second Addition, recorded in Book 30, Page V5 of
<br /> Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California,
<br />
<br />belonging to the Santa Aha Boa~.d of Education, shall be omitted from the said
<br />district, and from the levy and collection of the special assessment tax hereafter
<br />to be levied and collected to cover the expenses of the said acquisitions, and it
<br />i~ ~urther determined that such lands are in use in the performance of a public
<br />function, to-wit, as a public school.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. That for the expenses of the acquisitions hereinbefore set
<br />forth bonds will be issued to the total amount of the same, s~Id bonds to bear
<br />interest at the rate of seven per'cent per annum, payable semi-annually, the first
<br />interest payment to be made on the 2nd day of Janus,, or the 2nd day of July
<br />(whichever month first succeeds the date of the bonds) next succeeding one year
<br />after the date of such bonds, and the aggregate principal of all bonds issued unde
<br />these proceedings to be paid and discharged within thirteen (13) years after the
<br />date of issuance, approximately one-tenth part of said aggregate principal to be
<br />payable annually, all in gold coin, and that a special fund for the Dyment of
<br />said bonds will ~e constituted by the levy of special ~as~s~laenthtax.'upon!~th~
<br />~ands within the assessment district, excepting the lands owned by the Santa Aha
<br />Board of Education hereinbefore described, in accordance with the provisions
<br />of the "Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1925", and ~endments thereto, accord-
<br />lng to the assessed value of said lands, exclusive of the improvements thereon,
<br />except as otherwise in said act provided. That the first payment on the
<br />aggregate principal of the bonds issued will be made three years after the issunn
<br />thereof.
<br />
<br /> Section 4. That the 22nd day of October, 1928, at the hour of 7:30
<br />o~clock P.M. of said day is the day and hour and the Council Chamber of the City
<br />Council of the City of Santa Aha, in the City Hall of the City of Santa Aha,
<br />California,is the place fixed by said City Council, when and where any and all
<br />pers~s having any objections to the proposed acquisitions, as hereinbefore set
<br />forth, to the extent of the assessment district, or to ar~ or all of the foregoin.
<br />may appear before the said City Council of the City of Santa Aha, and be heard.
<br />
<br /> Section 5. That the proceedings for said acquisition and widening
<br />of East First Street shall be had and taken under and in accordance with an
<br />act of the Legislature of the State of California, known and designated as the
<br />"Acquisition and Zlaprovement Act of 1925", approved May 23, 1925, and amendments
<br />thereto, and said bonds shall also be issued in accordance with said act and
<br />amendments thereto.
<br />
<br /> Section 6. That ~yde L. Jenken, City Engineer of the City of Santa
<br />Aha, is hereby appointed Superintendent of Work, without c~npensation, and he is
<br />hereby ordered to cause to be conspicuously posted in the manner provided in
<br />said act, notices of the adoption of this resolution, entitled "NOTICE OF PUBLIC
<br />IMPRDIFEMENT", in letters of not less than one inch in length, in the form required
<br />by law.
<br />
<br /> Section V. ~xat the Clerk of this City Council shall certify to the
<br />adoption of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published by two
<br />insertions in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published
<br />and circulated in the City of Santa Aha, California, which is hereby designated
<br />for that purpose, and for making all other publications in or incident to these
<br />proceedings.

<br /> The foregoing Resolution was on the 1st day of October, 1928, regularly
<br />introduced, passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, at a
<br />regular meeting thereof, by the following stated votes:
