RES OLUTI ON <br /> <br />IN THE MASTER OF THE ACO~UISITION AND I;vlPROVEMENT <br /> DISTRICT NO. ~5, 0F THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. <br /> <br />ORDERING ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT - NO. 2027. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, that it is <br />hereby found, determined and ordered as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. That the owners of more than one-half of the area of the property <br /> included in the Assessment District described in Resolution of Intention No. 2020 <br /> In the Matter of Acquisition and Improvement District Noi 3 of the City of Santa <br /> Ana, adopted by this City Council on the 1st day of October, 1928, and in the <br /> specifications therefor referred to in said Resolution, have not made written <br /> objections going to the entirety of the ~ings herein proposed to be done; <br /> <br /> 2. That the boundaries of the Assessment District for said Acquisition <br />and Improvement District No. 3 as proposed in said Reso~ution of Intention, are <br />hereby adopted and established as the boundaries of said Assessment District. <br /> <br /> 3. That the public interest and necessity requires and it is hereby <br />ordered, that the following acquisition for the widening of East First Street in <br />the City of Santa Ana be made, to-wit: <br /> <br /> A strip of land five (5) feet wide lying North of and <br /> immediately a~jacent to the North line of First Street and extend- <br /> ing from the ~asterly line of Main Street to a Northwesterly and <br /> Southeasterly line intersectin~ the Southerly line of First Street <br /> at a point distant 18~3S feet Easterly from the Northeasterly <br /> corner of Lot 1, Block A, Bailey's Addition as recorded in Book 21, <br /> Page 12, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, Calif~nia, <br /> the included angle between the said Northwesterly and Southeasterly <br /> llne and the Southerly line of First Street being 63° 26~ 10" except- <br /> ing from said five foot strip of land any and all portions t~ereof <br /> used for street and alley purposes and also excepting that portion <br /> lying between lines drawn parallel to and distant 4.8 feet, measured <br /> at right angles to the center lines and on each side of all railroad <br /> tracks. <br /> <br /> Also a strip of land five (5) feet wide lying South of and <br /> immediately adjacent to the Southerly line of First Street and <br /> extending from the Easterly line of Main Street to a line drawn <br /> parallel to and distant la. J5 feet Easterly, as measured along the <br /> Southerly line of First Street, from the Easterly line of Lot l, <br /> Block A, of said Bailey's Addition, excepting from said five foot <br /> strip of land any and all portions thereof used for street and alley <br /> purposes and also excepting that portion lying between lines drawn <br /> parallel to and distant 4.5 feet measured at right angles to the <br /> center lines and on each side of all railroad tracks. <br /> <br />All as set forth and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 2020, passed <br />and adopted October l, 1928, and in the specifications referred to, and that the <br />property necessary to be taken for such widening of East First Street, and which <br />is hereby ordered to be acquired therefor, is that described in Section I of said <br />Resolution of Intention. <br /> <br /> 4. That the City Attorney of the City of Santa Ana is hereby ordered tc <br />bring an action in the name of the City of Santa Ana, in the Superior Court of th~ <br />State of California, in and for the County of Orange, for the condemnation of the <br />property necessary to be taken for the acquisition ordered in paragraph 3 hereof, <br />and described in Section I of said Resolution of Intention No. 2020, and to do all <br />things necessary to prosecute said action to final determ~nation. <br /> <br /> 8. That to defray the expenses of the acquisition herein ordered bauds <br />will be issued to the total amount ~>f the same, said bonds to bear interest at the <br />rate of seven percent per annun~, payable semi-annually, and the aggregate <br />principal of all bonds issued to be paid and discharged within t~rteen (13) <br />years after the date of issuance, approximately one-tenth of said aggregate <br /> <br /> <br />
