RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROV~ENT <br /> <br /> NO. 2029 <br /> <br /> W~tEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana on the 1st day of <br /> October, 1928, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2OlA to order the herein- <br /> after described improvement to be made and public work to be done in the City of <br /> Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> wHeREAS, after the passage and adoption of Resolution of Intention No. <br />2~14, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha cmuspicuously posted <br />along the line of the contemplated work and improvement at not more than three <br />hundred (300) feet in distance apart and 3 in all, notices of the passage of said <br />Resolution of intention, headed, NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK, in the manner, form and <br />substance as required by law, and said Street Superintendent also caused a notic~ <br />similar in substance to be published for a period of ten (10) days in the Ssata <br />Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated in the <br />City of Santa Ana, and named by said City Council in said Resolution of Intenttor <br />as the paper in which said no tice should appear, all as appears from the affidavi~ <br />of W. Lee Millis, principal clerk of the printers and publishers of ss~ d daily <br />newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of the Clerk of the City <br />of Santa A~a on the llth day of October, 1928, and is now on file therein; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana c~enced <br />the posting of the notices hereinbefore referred to on the 2nd day of October, <br />1928, and fully completed the posting thereof on the 2nd day of October, 1928, as <br />appears from the affidavit of Clyde L. Jenken, Street Superintendent ~ the City <br />of Santa Ana, and more than ten (10) days having expired after the expiration of <br />the time of the publication of said notice within which protests or objections <br />to the proposed work or improvement might be made by any person interested <br />objecting to said work or improvement, or to the extent of the district or lands <br />to be affected or benefited by said work or improvement and to be assessed to pay <br />the costs and expenses thereof; sad <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the next meeting of the City Council after the expiration <br />of said ten days after the expiration of the time of the publication of said <br />notice, and no objection to said work or improvement having been made or on file, <br />why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with said <br />Resolution of Intention, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana having now <br />4cquired Jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement; <br /> <br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED: That the p~blic interest and con- <br />venience requires the work hereinafter described and the City Council of the City <br />of Santa &ua hereby orders the following work to be done and improvement made <br />in the City of Santa &ua as follows: <br /> <br /> That the following portion of that certain real property situated at <br />the corner of Washington Avenue and Poinsettia Street, and dedicated for street <br />purposes, as hereinafter described in the City of Santa Ana be closed up and <br />abandoned, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of Block 69, Santa Aha East, <br /> Miscellaneous Records, Book 10, Pages 43 and 44, Records of Los Angeles <br /> County, California; thence Southwesterly along the Northerly line of said <br /> ~lock 69, a distance of 90.48 feet to a point in the Northeasterly line <br /> <br /> <br />
