The excavation for and construction of salt glazed vitrified clay pipe
<br />house connecting sewers, together with all eighth bends, disc, seals and other
<br />necessary appurtenances thereto, laid at such elevations and gra~es and at such
<br />locations as are indicated on the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of cast iron service w~ter connect-
<br />ions, including all lead connections, corporation cocks, curb cocks, fittings and
<br />all necessary appurtenances thereto installed on the hereinbefore described
<br />portions of streets at right angles to the main, and extending to a point one foot
<br />back of the curb, and at such locations and depths all as particularly indicated
<br />on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of reinforced concrete and tall
<br />top culverts along the Easterly side of Garfield Street as hereinbefore described
<br />across Second Street and diagonally from Northeast to Southwest across Fourth
<br />Street, at Garfield Street, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance
<br />with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> Excepting from all of the above described work those portions of Said
<br />streets requiredby law to be kept in order or repair by any person or company
<br />having railroad tracks thereon.
<br />
<br /> Together with such other work and improvements as are noted on the plan~
<br />or specifications, which shall be considered as incidental to the above described
<br />work and improvements, and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor.
<br />
<br /> The work to be done as herein set forth shall include the furnishing
<br />of all labor, equipment and materials necessary for or ap~urtenant to the con-
<br />struction and completion of all work herein specified.
<br />
<br />PLINSt PROFILES~ CROSS-SECTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS
<br />
<br /> Section 2. All of the hereinbefore described strcets, together with
<br />the foregoing work and improvements are fully set forth, delineated and described
<br />on the plans, profiles, cross-sections and detailed drawings known as "THE PL^NS
<br />FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 184" and as set forth in the specifications known
<br />as "THE SPE~FICATIONS FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 164", which plans and spec-
<br />ifications are on file in the office of the City Clerk, and were adspted by
<br />Resolution No. 2032 on the Sth day of November, 1928, by the City Council of the
<br />City of Santa Ana as the plans, profiles, crOss-sections, detailed drawings and
<br />specifications for said work and improvement. Said plans, profiles, cross-
<br />sections, detailed drawings and specifications are referred to for a full and
<br />detailed description of said work and improvement, the same as though set forth
<br />in full herein, and shall be directory as to the location of all work to be done,
<br />the kind of materials to be used and the type of construction.

<br />CHANGE OF GRADE
<br />
<br /> Section 3. That the grade to which the work shall be done and impr~e-
<br />meat made which is provided for in this Remo~ution is shown on the profiles
<br />therefor, on file in the office of the City Engineer, to which said profiles
<br />reference is hereby made for the description of such grade, and it is hereby
<br />resolved by the City Council of the City of Santa Ara that the grade shown on the
<br />plmms and profiles is the official grade to which the work herein ordered shall
<br />be done.

<br />~SCRIPTION OF BONDS
<br />
<br /> Section 4. The said City Council does hereby declare and determine
<br />and notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments
<br />and to bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annum will be issued here-
<br />under in the manner provided in the "Improvement Bond Act of 191§", the last
<br />installment of which bonds shall mature nine (9) years from th~ 2nd day of July
<br />next succeeding ten (10) months from their date.
<br />
<br />DESCRIPTION OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
<br />
<br /> Section 5. That the contemplated work~ improvement hereinbefore
<br />mentioned is in the opinion of the City Council of more than local or o~dinary
<br />public benefit, and the expense of said work and improvement is made chargeable
<br />upon the district hereinafter described, and said City Council does hereby declare
<br />said district to be the district benefited by said work and improvement and to be
<br />assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, which district is bounded and
<br />described as follow~, to-wit:

<br /> Avenue with the Northwesterly extension of the Northeasterly line of

<br />Records of Los Angeles County; thence Southeasterly along the said North-
<br />westerly extension of and along the Northeasterly llne of said Block 69
<br />~and its Southeasterly extension to an intersection with the Southerly
<br /> line of Sixth Street; thence Westerly along the said Southerly line of
<br /> Sixth Street to an intersection with the Westerly line of Poinsettia
<br /> Street; thence Southerly along the said Westerly line of Poinsettia Street
<br /> to an intersection with the center line of Block C, Burgess Addition,
<br /> recorded in Book l~, Page ~, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County;
