<br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA,
<br /> DECLARING THEIR IN.TENTION TO ORDER THE CLOSING UP AND ABANDON-
<br /> MENT OF PORTIONS OF WALNUT STREET AND PINE STREET, DEdiCaTED
<br /> FOR STREET PURPOSES, IN THE~ CITY OF SANTA ANA; DECLf~ING IT TO
<br /> BE FOR THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND CONVENIENCE; AND FIXING THE
<br /> TIME ^~) pLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID PROPOSED
<br /> IMPROVP~iENT.
<br />
<br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, pursuant to the provisions of an
<br /> Act of the Legislature of the State of Califomia, known as "Street Opening Act of 1889'
<br /> approved March 6, 1889, and amendments thereto, do resolve and declare as follows:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires the closing up
<br /> and abandonment of those portions of Walnut Street and Pine Street, dedicat~ for
<br /> street purposes, as hereinafter described, in the City of Santa Ana, and it is the
<br /> intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha to order the following portions
<br /> of ~alnut Street and Pine Stre(~t, dedicated for street ~rposes, to be closed up and
<br /> abandoned, to-wit:

<br /> WALNUT STREET:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at a point in the Westerly line of Baker Street, said p~int
<br /> being 2VO feet Southerly from the Southerly line of First Street; thence
<br /> Westerly and parallel to First Street 850 feet to a point; thence Southerly and
<br /> parallel to Baker Street 60 feet to a point; thence Easterly and parallel to
<br /> First Street 8SO feet to a point in the Westerly line of Baker Street; thence
<br /> Northerly along the Westerly line of Baker Street 60 feet to the point of
<br /> beginning.

<br /> PINE STREET:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at a point in the ~esterly line of Baker Street, said point
<br /> be$~ 2?0 feet Northerly from the Northerly line of Chestnut Avenue; thence
<br /> Westerly and parallel to Chestnut Avenue 850 feet to a point; thence Northerly
<br /> and parallel to Baker Street 60 feet to a point; thence Easterly and parallel
<br /> to Chestnut Avenue ~0 feet to a point in the Westerly line of Baker Street;
<br /> thence Southerly along the Westerly line of Baker Street 60 feet to the point
<br /> of beginning.

<br /> all of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the ~ity
<br /> Council of the City of Santa Ana for said abandonment by Resolution ~o. 2037 on the 19th
<br /> day of November, 1928.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the said City Council of the said City of Santa Aha does
<br /> further declare that the lot, land or premises affected by the closing up and aband~nme~
<br /> of the hereinbefore described portions of Walnut Street and Pine Street, and benefited
<br /> by said improvement are the parcels of real property described as follows, to-wit:

<br /> Lots "A", "B" and "C", Tract No. 610, as per map recorded in Book 19, Page
<br /> 12, Miscellaneous Records of Orange County, California.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. That the proceedings for the closing up of the af~esaid portions
<br />of Walnut Street and Pine Street, dedicated for street purposes as aforesaid, shsll be
<br />had and taken under and in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of the State of
<br />California, designated and kn~vn as "An Act to Provide for Laying Out, Opening, Extendin.
<br />Widening, Straightening or Closing up, in Whole or~in Part, of any Street, Square, Lane,
<br />Alley, Court ~or Place within Municipalities, to Condemn and ^c~uire any and all land and
<br />property Necesoary or Convenient for that Purpose", approved March 6, 1889, and amend-
<br />ments thereto.

<br /> Section 4. The Street Superintendent shall cause to be conspicuously
<br />
<br />posted along the lines of said contemplated work and improvement, and at not more than
<br />three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, but not less than three in all, notices of
<br />the passage of this resolution, in the form and manner as required by law; and he shall
<br />also cause a notice similar in substance, for a period of ten days, to b(~ published in
<br />the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated and of
