<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COI~CIL OW THE CITY OF
<br />SANTA ANA, DECLARING THEIR INTEN'I~ION TO ORDER THE
<br />CLOSING UP ~ND .~BANDONt~]NT OF A PORTION OF PROPERTY
<br />AT THE CORNER OF b'ASHINGTON AVENUE AND POINSETTIA
<br />STREET, DEDICATED FOR STREET FU~POSES ~N THE CITY OF
<br />S~NTA ANA; DECLAriNG IT TO BE FOR THE PUBLIC INTEREST
<br />AND CONVENIENCE; AND %~IXING TH],,', mIME .~D P!,~CE FOR
<br />HE~,RING OBJECTIONS '_PO SAID PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT.
<br />
<br />The City Council of the City of Santa &ua, ~rsuant to the provisions
<br />
<br />of
<br />
<br />Act of 1889, approved March 6, 1889, and amendments thereto, do resolve
<br />
<br />an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, known as "Street Opening
<br />
<br />declare as follows:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the
<br />closing up and abaondonment of
<br />
<br />and
<br />
<br /> ~blic interest and convenience requires the
<br />
<br /> ~at portion of that certain r~al property situate~
<br />at the corner of Washington ^venue and Poinsettia Street, and dedicated for
<br />street purposes, as hereinafter described, in the City of Santa Ana, and it is th~
<br />intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana to order the following
<br />portion of said real property in said City to be closed up and abandoned, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of Block 69, Santa Aha
<br /> East, ~iscellaneous Records, Book 10, Pages 45 and 44, Records of
<br /> Los Angeles County, California; thence Southwesterly along the
<br /> Northerly line of said Block 89, a distsnce of 90.45 feet to a
<br /> point in the Northeasterly llne of Poinsettia Street; thence North-
<br /> westerly along the Northeasterly line of said Poinsettia Street a
<br /> distance of 2V.60 feet to a point; thence in a Northeasterly direction
<br /> along a curve to the right whose interior angle is 103 degrees, 14
<br /> minutes, l0 seconds and a radius of 30 re.t, a distance of 54.0~%
<br /> feet to a point; thence Easterly along a line drawn parallel to and
<br /> distant l0 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of ~ashington
<br /> Avenue a di'stance of 46.49 feet to a point; thence Sou~easterly on
<br /> an angle to ~he ri~t of 6S degrees, 45 minutes, 30 seconds, a
<br /> distance of ~8.Z4 feet to the point of beginning,
<br />
<br />all of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and a~opted by the
<br />City Council of the City of Santa &ua for said abandonment by Resolution No.~048
<br />on the 10th day of December, 19~8.
<br />
<br /> Section ~. That the said City Council of the sai~ City of Santa Ana
<br />does further declare that the lot, land or premises affected by the closing up
<br />and abandonment of the hereinbefore described real property and benefited by said
<br />improvement is the parcel of real property ~escribed as follow~, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> Block O~ of Santa ~haa East, as per map recorded, in Book 10, Pages
<br /> 4~ and 45 of Niscellaneous Records of Los Angeles, California.
<br />
<br /> Section S. That the proceedings for the closing up of the aforesaid
<br />parcel of real property, dedicated for street M~rposes as aforesaid, situated on
<br />the southeast corner of ~ashington Avenue and Poinsettia Street shall be had and
<br />taken under and in accordance with an Act of the Legi'slature of the State of
<br />California, designated and known as "An Act to provide for laying out, opening,
<br />extending, widening, straightening or closing up, in ~ole or in part, of any
<br />street, square, lane, alley, court or place within municipalities, to condemn
<br />and acquire any and all land and property necessary Om convenient for that
<br />purpose", approved ~arch 8, 1889, and amendments thereto.
<br />
<br /> Section 4. The Street Superintendent shall cause to be conspicuously
<br />posted along the line of said contemplated work and improvement and at not more
<br />than $00 feet in distance apart, but not less than three in all, notices of the
<br />passage of this Resolution, in the form and manner as required by law; and he sha]
<br />also cause a notice similar in substance, for a period of ten (10) days, to be
<br />published in the Santa &ua Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published
<br />
