IN THE MATTER OF ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br />NO. 8 OF THE CIT~ OF SANTA ANA. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2232 <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Aha, pursuant to the provisions <br />of the Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1928, as amended, do resolve as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the public interest and necessity require, and it is <br />the intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, to order <br />the following acquisitions for the opening and widening of portions ef Flewer <br />Street between Walnut Street and Seventeenth Street in the said City of Santa Aha, <br />to-wit: <br /> <br /> The acquisition of the necessary parcels of land to widen Flower Street <br />to a vamiable width fr~m a point forty (A0) feet South cf the South line of First <br />Street to a point forty (40~ feet North cf the North line of First Street. <br /> <br /> The opening of Flower Street between Fifth Streetand Sixth Street to a <br />total width of sixty (60) feet, measured thirty (30) feet on each side of a line <br />drawn from the point cf intersection of the center line of Fifth Street with the <br />center line of Flower Street as it now exists South of Fifth Street, to a point <br />on the center line of Sixth Street distant 309.60 feet Westerly from the inter- <br />section of the center lines cf Sixth and Garnsey Streets. <br /> <br /> The widening ef Flower Street between Washington Avenue and Seventeenth <br />Street by the acquisition of a strip of land seventy (70) feet in width, and being <br />thirty-five (35) feet on each side of the center line of Flower Street, as <br />established by a straight line drawn between the point ef intersection of the <br />center lines of Washington Avenue and Flower Street, as it exists Southerly from <br />Washington Avenue, to the point ef intersection of the center lines of Seventeenth <br />Street and Flewer Street, as it exists Northerly from Seventeenth Street, except- <br />ing therefrom any portion thereof which is new occupied by a public street. <br /> <br /> That the property necessary to be taken fer the acquisition, opening <br />and widening of those portions ef Flower Street described above includes all those <br />parcels ef land situated in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of <br />California, and particulsmly described as fellows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Parcel No. 1. Felt to G. A, Whitney and wife, recorded in Book 169~ <br />page 292 of Deeds, records of said Orange County; thence West on the South <br />line of said tract 55 feet; thence South on the East line of said Block "P" <br />125 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Parcel No. 4.
