IN THE MATTER OF ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 8 OF THE CIT~ OF SANTA ANA. RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2232 The City Council of the City of Santa Aha, pursuant to the provisions of the Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1928, as amended, do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and necessity require, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, to order the following acquisitions for the opening and widening of portions ef Flewer Street between Walnut Street and Seventeenth Street in the said City of Santa Aha, to-wit: The acquisition of the necessary parcels of land to widen Flower Street to a vamiable width fr~m a point forty (A0) feet South cf the South line of First Street to a point forty (40~ feet North cf the North line of First Street. The opening of Flower Street between Fifth Streetand Sixth Street to a total width of sixty (60) feet, measured thirty (30) feet on each side of a line drawn from the point cf intersection of the center line of Fifth Street with the center line of Flower Street as it now exists South of Fifth Street, to a point on the center line of Sixth Street distant 309.60 feet Westerly from the inter- section of the center lines cf Sixth and Garnsey Streets. The widening ef Flower Street between Washington Avenue and Seventeenth Street by the acquisition of a strip of land seventy (70) feet in width, and being thirty-five (35) feet on each side of the center line of Flower Street, as established by a straight line drawn between the point ef intersection of the center lines of Washington Avenue and Flower Street, as it exists Southerly from Washington Avenue, to the point ef intersection of the center lines of Seventeenth Street and Flewer Street, as it exists Northerly from Seventeenth Street, except- ing therefrom any portion thereof which is new occupied by a public street. That the property necessary to be taken fer the acquisition, opening and widening of those portions ef Flower Street described above includes all those parcels ef land situated in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, and particulsmly described as fellows, to-wit: Parcel No. 1. A portion of the following described parcel of land: The North 1~ fett cf the following described property: Beginning at a point on the North line of Lot I in Block "P" of the Hell Tract, as per map thereof recorded im Book 23, page 28 cf Miscellaneous Records ef Los Angeles County, California, said point being 13.5 feet west of the North- east corner ef said Lot l; running thence West along the North line cf Lots i and 2 in said Blosk "P" 50 feet; thence South 270 feet throug~h said Let 2 and L~t 23 to a point on the South line of said LOt ~3 which is 12.92 feet west of the Southeast corner ef said L~t 23; thence East along the South line ef said L~'t 23 and Lot 24 cf said Block "P" $0 feet to a point which is distant 12.92 feet west of the Southeast corner of said Let 24; thence North 2?0 feet to the place of beginning and mere particula_~ly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the Northerly line of said Let l, said point being distant 13.?1 feet Easterly from the Northwesterly cermet thereof, thence Easterly along the Northerly line cf said Lot 1 te am intersection with the Westerly line ef Flewer Street; thence Southerly along the Westerly line ef Flower Street 40.00 feet. to a p∫ thence North- westerly along a curve tangent to said Westerly line of Flower Street and whose radius is 67 feet a distance of 31.$7 feet to a point of compound cu~ve~ thence continuing Northwesterly along a curve whose radius is 17~S feet a distance of 19.08 feet to the point of beginning. A portion of the following described parcel of land; Lot Six (6) in Block "K" of the Ross Addition, as per map thereof recorded in Book 3, pages S34 and 83§ of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 6; thence Northerly along the West- erly line thereof forty (40) feet to a point; thence Southeasterly along a curve tangent to said Westerly line and whose radius is 67 feet~ a distance of 81.~? fees to a point of compound curve; thence continuing Southeasterly along a curve whose radius is 17.72 feet a distance of 19.41 feet to its point of tangency with the Southerly line of said Lot 8; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of said Lot 6 to the point of beginning. All of the following described parcel of land: That portion of the Ross Addition to Santa Ana~ as per map thereof recorded in Book 3, pages 834 and 535 of Miscellaneous Records of LOs Angeles County~ California, formerly included in Orange Street, now Flower Street, and described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot l0 in Block ~P" of the said Ross Addition to Santa Aha; thence East on the North line of Fifth Street, 55 feet; thence North parallel with the East line of said Block "P" 125 feet, mere or less, to the South line of tract conveyed by Sarah E. Felt to G. A, Whitney and wife, recorded in Book 169~ page 292 of Deeds, records of said Orange County; thence West on the South line of said tract 55 feet; thence South on the East line of said Block "P" 125 feet to the point of beginning.
