RESOL~TION OF INTENTION NO. 2235 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDER THE INSTALLATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF AN 0RNAMRNTAL LIGHTING SYSTEM 0N FLOWER STREET BETWEEN A LINE DRAWN PARALLEL TO AND DISTANT 30 FEET SOUTHERLY FROM THE WESTE~RLYEXTENDED SOUTHERLY LINE 0F SANTA CLARA AVENUE AND A LINE DRAWN AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE CENTER LINE OF FLOW] R STREET AND DISTANT llS0 FEET NORTHERLY FROM THE CENTER LINE OF SANTA CLARA AVENUE, AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF CEMENT SIDEWALKS THEREON WHERE SIDEWALKS DO NOT NOW EXIST; DECLARING THE SAID WORK TO BE OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; DECLARING THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED BY SAID WORKAND IMPROVEMENT AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COSTS AND EXPENSES THEHEOF; DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID WORK OR IMPROVEMENT, OR TO THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED~ OR BOTH. The City Council of the City of Santa Aha, pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments to said Acts, do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, to order the construction of the following mdescribed work and improvement in said City, to-wit: That the portion of the street in the City of Santa Ana, California~ ~ upon which work.shall be done and improvements made as hereinafter set forth shall be upon and along that open public street commonly known as and called Flower Stree between a line drawn parallel to and distant 30 feet Southerly.from the Westerly extended Southerly line of Santa Clara Avenue and a line drawn at right angles to the center line of Flower Street and distant llS0 feet Northerly from the center line of Santa Clara Avenue, excepting from the above described portion of street any portions thereof which are already improved to the official grade. That the work to be done and improvements to be made upon and along the hereinbefore described portion of Flower Street in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Engineer shall be as follows:. The furnishing, installation and construction of an ornamental lighting system, together with the necessary appurtenances to said lighting system, includ- ing the installation of single light standards of the type and kind known as The King Ornamental Standard ~esign drawing No. K-04S1 complete, together with Neolite Lighting Unit No. 91-4, including all concrete foundations, anchor bolts, potheads~ wiring, lamps, globes, canopies, and all necessary conduits and cables, making the necessary connections to the existing circuit at the locations indicated on the plans, and making all connections between standards, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. The excavation for and construction of Portland cement concrete sidewalks upon and along the hereinbefore described portion of Flower Street, where sidewalks do not now exist, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. The repairing of all curbs, sidewalks, culverts, pavement or other improvements, cut or damaged during the construction of the above described work, together with such other work or improvements as are noted on the plans which shall be considered as incidental to the above described work and improvements, and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor. That the work to be done under these specifications shall include the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and material necessary for or appurtenant to th construction and completion of all work herein specified. That for the installation of the hereinbefore described lighting system a patented article will be used, and a license agreement between the Western ~L~ghting Company, selling agents for the King Company, and Associated Wholesale Electric Company, and the City of Santa Aha is now on file in the office of the City Clerk permitting the use of patented a~ticles for which said company is sell- ing agent and representative, and known as the King Companyts Ferronite Standards with the Associated '~nolesale Electric Compasy ts Ferronite Standards with the Associated Wholesale Electric Companyts Neolite Lighting Units, to which said agreement reference is hereby made and the same is made a part of this Resolution by reference the same as though set forth in full herein. PLANSt PROFILESt CROSS-SECTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS Section 2. That the hereinbefore described street, together with the foregoing work and improvements are full set forth, delineated and described on the plans, profiles, cross-sections and detailed drawings known as "THE PLANS FOR ASSE~ MENT DISTRICT NO. 188", and as set forth in the specifications known as THE SPECIFICATIC/~S FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. lBS", which plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer, and were adopted by Resolution NO. on the l~th day of September,_1950~ by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, as the plans, profiles, cross sections, detailed drawings and specifications for said work and improvement. Said plans, profiles, cross-sections, detailed d~aw- ings and specifications are referred to for a full and detailed description of said work and improvement, the same as though set forth in full herein, and shall be directory as to the location of all work to be done, the kind of materials to be used and the type of construction.
