RESOLUTION OF INTENTION

<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C01YNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />SANTA ANA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDER THE
<br />CONSTRUCTION OF PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALKS
<br />ON THE NORTHERLY ONE-HALF OF WASHINGTON AVENUE,
<br />BETWEEN THE WESTERLY LINE OF BAKER STREET AND THE
<br />NORTHERLY EXTENDED EASTERLY LINE OF ARTESIA STREET
<br />AND THE WESTERLY ONE-HALF OF BAKER STREET BETWEEN
<br />THE CENTER LINE OF WASHINGTON AVE~JE AND THE SOUTH-
<br />ERLY LINE OF TRACT NO. 923; DECLARING THE SAID WORK
<br />AND IMPROVEMENT TO BE OF MGtE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY
<br />PUBLIC BENEFIT; DECL/~RING THE DISTRICT TO BE
<br />BENEFITED THEREBY AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COSTS
<br />AND EXPENSES THEREOF; DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL
<br />BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES, AND
<br />FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO ·
<br />SAID WORK OR IMPROVEMENT, OR TO THE EXTENT.OF THE
<br />DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH.
<br />
<br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Aha pursuant to the provisions
<br />of the Improvement Act of 1911, and the Improvement Bond AcE of 1915, and amend-
<br />ments to said acts, do resolve as follows:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires and it is
<br />the intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, to order
<br />the construction of the following work and improvements in said City, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of Portland Cement Concrete Sidewalks
<br />upon and along the Northerly one-half of Washington Avenue between the Westerly
<br />line of Baker Street and the Northerly extended Easterly line of Artesia Street,
<br />and the Westerly one-half of Baker Street between the center line of Washington
<br />Avenue and the Southerly line of Tract No. 923, as per map thereof on file in
<br />Miscellaneous Maps, Book 29, Page 14, Records of Orange County, California, at the
<br />locations, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and
<br />specifications h~reinafter mentioned; excepting, however, from the above described
<br />streets any portions thereof which are already improved to the official grade.
<br />
<br /> That the work to be done as hereinbefore set forth shall include the
<br />furnishing of all labor, equipment and materials necessary for or appurtenant to
<br />the construction and completion of all work herein specified.
<br />
<br /> Together with such other wets or improvements as are noted on the plans
<br />or specifications which shall be considored as incidental to the above described
<br />work, and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor.
<br />
<br />ELANS. PROFILES, CROSS-SECTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS
<br />
<br /> Section 2. All of the hereinbefore described streets, together with the
<br />foregoing work and improvements are fully set forth, delineated and described on
<br />the plans, profiles, cross-sections and detailed drawings known as "The PLANS FOR
<br />ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 190", and as set forth in the specifications known as "THE
<br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 190", which plans and specifications are
<br />on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and were adopted by Resolution No. 2281
<br />on the 1st day of December, 1930, by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha as
<br />the plans, profiles, cross-sections, detailed drawings and specifications for said
<br />work and improvement. Said plans, profiles, cross-sections, detailed d~awings
<br />and specifications are referred to for a full and detailed description of said
<br />work and improvement, the same as though set forth in full herein, and shall be
<br />directory as to the location'of all work to be done, the kind of materials to be
<br />used and the type of construction.
<br />
<br />CHANGE OF GRADE
<br />
<br /> Section 3. That the grade to which the work shall be done and improve-
<br />ment made which is provided for in this Resolution is shown on the profiles there-
<br />for, on file in the office of the City Engineer, to which said profiles reference
<br />is hereby made for the description of such grade, and it is hereby resolved by the
<br />City Council of the City of Santa Aha that the grade shovm on the plans and pro-
<br />files is the official grade to which the work herein ordered shall be done.

<br />DESCRIPTION OF BONDS
<br />
<br /> Section 4. The said City Council does hereby declare and determine
<br />and notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and
<br />to bear interest at the rate of six percent per annum will be issued hereunder in
<br />the manner provided in the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915", the last installment of
<br />which bonds shall mature nine (9) years from the 2nd day of July next succeeding
<br />ten (10) months from their date.

<br />DESCRIPTION OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
<br />
<br /> Section 5. That the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore
<br />mentioned is in the opinion of the City Council of more than local or ordinary
<br />public benefit, and the expenme of said work and improvement is made chargeable
<br />upon the district hereinafter described, and said City Council does hereby declare
<br />said district to be the district benefited by said work and improvement and to be
<br />assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, which district is bounded and
<br />described as follows, to-wit:
