RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK

<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, on the !st day of December
<br /> 1930~ passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2~62, to order the hereinafter described
<br /> work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and along portions of Washington
<br /> Avenue and Baker Street, which Resolution of Intention No. 2282 was duly and legally
<br /> published twice in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and
<br /> circulated in the City of Santa Ana, all as required by law, as appears from the
<br /> affidavit of W. Lee Millis, principal clerk of the printers and publishers of said
<br /> daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of
<br /> Santa Aha, on the 4th day of December, 1930; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of said Resolution of Intention No.
<br /> 2262, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana conspicuously posted along the
<br /> line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundred (300) feet
<br /> in distance apart, and 16 in all, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention
<br /> headed, NOTICE OF IM~ROVEMENT, in the manner, form and substance as required by law, and
<br /> the work being chargeable upon a district, also conspicuously posted copies of said
<br /> notice along all of the open streets ~ithin such district at not more than three hundred
<br /> (300) feet in distance apart, as appears from the affidavit of C. L. Jenken, said Street
<br /> Superintendent, whorpersonally posted said notice of improvement; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, commenced to
<br /> post said notices on the 10th day of December, 1930, and fully completed the posting
<br /> thereof on the 10th day of December, 1930, more than ten (10) days before the date set
<br /> for hearing protests or objections to the proposed work and improvement, all as appears
<br /> from the affidavit of C. L. Jenken, Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, file.
<br /> in the office of the Clerk of said City on the 10th day of December, 1930, and now on
<br /> file therein; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana was duly and regularly in
<br /> session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. on Monday, the
<br /> 22nd day of December, 1930, being the time, hour and place named in the Resolution of
<br /> Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where any and all persons having any
<br /> objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the City Counci$ and
<br /> show cause why said proposed work should not be carried out in accordance with said
<br /> Resolution of Intention No. 2262; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS~ all protests or objections presented having been disposed of, over-
<br /> ruled and denied~ in time, manner and form as required by law, and the City Council
<br /> of the City of Santa Ana having acquired Jurisdiction to order the proposed work done
<br /> and improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana that the
<br />public interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement made particularly
<br />set forth and described in Resolution of Intention No. 2262, which is dated the 1st day
<br />of December, 1930, on file in the office of the Clerk of said City and hereby referred t(
<br />and made a part hereof, and the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby orders the
<br />work to be done and improvement to be made in said City, as particularly set forth and
<br />described in the said Resolution of Intention No. 2262 as aforesaid.
