RESOLUTION ~0. 2292 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE ~SSUANCE OF STREET <br />IMPROVEMENT BONDS PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION OF INTENTION <br />NO. 2208; DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF UNPAID ASSESSMENTS; <br />PRESCRIBING THE DENOMINATION OF SUCH BONDS AND PROVIDING <br />FOR THEIR ISSUANCE IN ANNUAL SERIES: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, notice of the filing of list of unpaid <br />assessments was duly given in the manner and form required by law, that the warran~ <br />assessment and diagram was recorded on the 6th day of January, 1931, for the work <br />and improvement made by H. C. Reid and Companl, under that certain contract <br />awarded to it on the llth day of August, 19~0, upon portions of First Street, Main <br />Street, Bush Street, Cypress Avenue, Spurgeon Street, Orange Avenue, French <br />Street, Maple Street, Oak Street, Hickory Street, Lacy Street, Halladay Street, <br />Garfield Street, Cedar Street, Evergreen Street and Minnie Street, as sbt forth <br />in Resolution of Intention No. 2~ 8; and that said warrant, assessment and diagram <br />were returned to the Street Superintendent of said City, together with a written <br />statement of all payments received upon the said assessment; and after the full <br />expiration of thirty (30) days after the recording of said warrant, the said <br />Street Superintendent duly made and filed with the City Clerk of the said City of <br />Santa Ana, a complete list of all assessments unpaid upon the said Assessment, <br />which list is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; now upon <br />evidence shown, this City Council determines that the assessments therein mentione~ <br />were then unpaid, the total aggregate thereof being the sum of Seventeen Thousand, <br />Six Hundred Thirty-nine and 89/100 Dollars ($17,639.89), and that no assessments <br />have been paid since the filing of the list of unpaid assessments by the Street <br />Superintendent, and that there now remains unpaid the sum of Seventeen Thousand~ <br />Six Hundred Thirty-nine and 89/100 Dollars ($17,639.89) upon the assessments shown <br />upon said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention No. 22~8 of-the <br />City Council of the City of Santa Ana, passed on the 23rd day of June, 19~0, for a <br />complete description of the work-herein mentioned, and to the list of unpaid asses <br />ments filed as above stated for the assessments unpaid; ~nd <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, interested persons were notified in the manner required by law <br />to appear before the City Council in the C0unc&l Chamber of the City Hall of said <br />City at the hour of 7:30 o~clock P.M. on Monday, the 16th day of February, 1931, <br />and show cau~e, why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid <br />assessments shown on the Street Superintendentts list; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form required by law~ <br />that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments bearing interest at the rate of <br />six percent per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided in the <br />"Improvement Bond Act of 1915", the last installment of which bonds ahall mature <br />nine years from the End day of July, next succeeding ten (10) months from their <br />date, and all interested persons having appeared before this City Council and <br />having been given a full opportunity to show cause why bonds should not be <br />issued upon the security of the unpaid assessments shown on said list, and all <br />objections presented having been heard and considered. <br /> <br /> IT IS THEREFORE NOW BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANTA ANA~ <br />DETERMINED, RESOLVED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: ~That no cause has been shown why <br />bonds should not be issued upon the security of said unpaid assessments, and does <br />hereby overrule all objections thereto, and does hereby direct the issuance of <br />said bonds; and ~urther, <br /> <br /> BE IT RES0~VED AS FOLLOWS: Thst bonds shall be issued upon the security <br />of said unpaid assessments to said amount of Seventeen ~housand, Six Hundred <br />Thirty-nine ~nd 89/100 Dollars ($17,639.89). <br /> <br /> That said bonds shall be twenty (20) in number and shall be dated <br />February 16th, 1931, and bear interest at the rate of six percent per annum, <br />the denomination of said bonds, and the date of respective maturity thereof <br />be as follows: <br /> <br /> and <br />shall <br /> <br />SERIES BOND NO. .AMOUNT DATER .OF MATURITY <br /> <br />P-4 1 $1,000.00 July 2, 1932 <br />P-4 2 763.98 1932 <br /> <br />P-4 3 1,000.00 1933 <br />P-4 4 763.98 1933 <br /> <br />P-4 5 1,000.00 1934 <br />P-4 6 763.98 1934 <br /> <br />P-4 7 1,000.00 1935 <br />P-4 8 763.98 1935 <br /> <br />P-4 9 1,000.00 1936 <br />P-4 10 763.98 1936 <br /> <br />P-4 11 1,000.00 1937 <br />P-4 12 763.98 1937 <br /> <br />P-4 13 1~000'00 1938 <br />P-4 14 763.98 1938 <br /> <br /> <br />
