RESOLUTION NO. 2692 <br /> <br /> Resolution Abth~ri~ng and Directing <br />the City Clerk to advertise for bids <br /> for the ~mprovement of portions of <br /> Broadway Street an the City of Santa <br /> Ana, California, and fixing prevailing <br /> wage rate. <br /> <br />Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to advertise as <br />required by law for the receipt of sealed bids or proposals for the doing of the <br />work specified in those certain plans and specifications adopted this 5th day of <br />September, 1939, by this City Council for the i~nprovement of a portion of Broadway <br />Street in the City of Santa Aha, which said advertisement shall bc substantially in <br />the following words and fig~ares, to-wit: <br /> <br />NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS <br /> <br /> In pursuance of a resolution of the Board cf Trustees of the City of Santa <br />Ana, Orange County, California, adopted directing this notice, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN <br />that the said Board of Trustees will receive at the office of the City Clerk in the <br />City Hall of the City of Santa Aha, on or before the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., <br />September ~, 1939, sealed bids or proposals for the improvement of BROADWAY. <br /> <br /> Bids must be made cna form provided for the pur~oese ~ddressed to the Board <br />of Trustees, Santa Aha, California, marked "Bid for B~oadway~Paving." <br /> <br /> Notice is hereby given bidders that under the provisions of Chapter 397, <br />Statutes of 1931, the Board of Trustees of the City of S~nta Ana has ascertained the <br />prevailing rate of per diem wages for each craft or type of wor~cnan or mechanic needed <br />to execute the contract which will be awarded the successful bidder, to be as follows: <br /> <br />SKILLED AND ZNTER~DTATE GRADM LABOR <br /> <br />Classification <br /> <br /> Rate <br />Per Hour <br /> <br />Asphalt mechanical finisher operator $ 1.126 <br />Asphalt rakers and ironers 1.00 <br />Asphalt dumpers and shovelers <br />Asphalt plant operator 1.125 <br />Asphalt plant dryerman or fir~nan .90 <br />Air Compressor operator 1.!~5 <br />Blacksmith 1.
