l~raetion of the foregoing rates that the number of hours of employment bears to <br />eight (8). <br /> <br /> Bidder's attention is called to the above mentioned Statute which will <br />re~ire them, if awarded the contract, to pay not less than said general per diem <br />rate of wages set forth in s~id resolution hereinbefore mentioned, to all laborers <br />workmen, and mechanics employed in the execution of the proposed contract. <br /> <br /> The bidder must submit with his proposal a satisfactory check certified <br />by a responsible bank and payable to the order of the City of Santa Ana, or a <br />bidder's bond for au amount not less than ten (10) per cent of the aggregate <br />sum of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed c~ntra¢ <br />if the same is awarded to him, and in event of failure to enter into such contract <br />said check or bond shall become the property of the City. <br /> <br /> The amount of the bond to be given to secure a faithful performance of <br />the contract for said work shall be twenty-five (25) per cent of the contract price <br />thereof, and an additional bond in an amount equal to fifty (80) per cent of the <br />contract price for said work shall be given to secure the payment of claims for <br />any materials or supplies furnished for the performance of the work contracted to <br />be done by the Contractor, or any work or labor of any kind done thereon and the <br />Contractor will also be required to furnish a certificate that he carries <br />compensation insurance covering his employees upon work to be done under contract <br />which may be entered into between him and the said City for the construction of <br />said work. <br /> <br /> The work is to be done in accordance with the profiles, plans, and <br />specifications of the City of Santa Ana on file in the office of the City Engineer <br />Room 201 of the City Hall of Santa Ana, California. Copies of the plans and <br />specifications will be furnished upon application to the City Engineer for which <br />a deposit of three dollars ($3.00) will be required. The deposit will be refundec <br />upon the return of plans and specifications. <br /> <br /> The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana reserves the right to <br />reject any and all bids. <br /> <br />By order of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, California. <br /> <br /> E.
