RESOLUTION NO, ~$~2 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SPONBORtB <br />AGKEENENT WITH W.P.A, <br /> <br /> W~EI~EAS, this CITY OF SANTA ANA is a member of the Joint 0utfall Sewer <br />Agreement under the terms of which there has been constructed and there is being <br />maintained and operated a sanitary outfall sewer to serve the cities of Santa Ana~ <br />Orange, Fullerton, Anaheim and certain Sanitary Districts'in the County of Orange, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the parties to said agreement have agreed to proceed with the <br />construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant to be operated in cOn~unction with said <br />outfall sewer, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the parties to s aid agreement have employed Nessrs. Koebig & Koebig~ <br />Sanitary Engineers, to prepare plans and ~pecifications for the sa id construction work <br />and said plans and specifications have been so prepared by said engineers, and the same <br />h~ve been approved by the Administrative Committee for the Construction of the Treatmen~ <br />Plant, and approve~ and ra{tfied by each of the parties or members of said Joint <br />Outfall Sewer Agreement and the State Department of Public Health, and its Chief <br />Sanitary Engineer, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under the proposal to so proceed the Sponsor therein is required to <br />furnish approximately $115~015.00 for material and labor, smd <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under the law and said Joint 0utfall Sewer Agreem%nt as last amended~ <br />the City of Santa Ana is designated as the contracting City for th~ parties to said <br />agreement, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it becomes necessary for said City of Santa Aha tc act as the <br />signatory sponsor under said proposal to obtain Federal aid through the Works Progress <br />Administration, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY OP SANTA ANA, and CITY COUNCIL is willing that the City of <br />Santa Ana shall act as such Sponsor, Znd agrees to pay into a fund in the possession <br />of the City of Santa Ana~ its proportionate part of the Sponsor's share of the cost of <br /> <br />said construction, as required f~r ~6inE s~id WOr~; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the C0~NCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA does resolve <br /> That the City of Santa Ana as contracting City for the parties to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />Joint Outfall Sewer Agreement is hereby authorized by the City of Santa Aha to execute <br /> <br />the Sponsor's proposal to the Works Progress Administration'of the Federal Government~ <br /> <br />on behalf of each member of s~id agreement, and in particular on behalf of this CITY <br /> <br />OF Santa Ana and this CITY OF SANTA ANA does hereby agree to pay to the City of Santa A a~ <br />as required by said City of Santa Ana, to meet the expense of such construction, not <br />less frequently than once each month, its proportionate share of such costs and expense~ <br />to be used by the City of Santa Ana for such purposes only, and that the portion thereo~ <br /> <br />to be paid by the various parties to said agreement are as follows: <br /> <br />SANTA ANA shall pay 45% of.
