<br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO SELL REAL PROPERT~/
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIT%[ COU~ICIL OF THE CITY OF SA}rTA ANA:
<br />
<br /> THAT, V~7{EREAS, the City of Santa Aua is the o,:mer of that certain real
<br />property hereinafter described, and
<br />
<br /> V~IEREAS, the various parcels hereinafter described consist of certain
<br />lots and parcels of land within the City of Ssnta Ama, which said property has
<br />been acquired by the City of Santa Aha, by deed and/or purchase from the owners
<br />of the fee title thereto and/or from the County Tax Collector of the County of
<br />Orange, State of California, under the provisions of the Statutes of the State
<br />of California, in such cases made and provided, and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa ;ma has no use for said property or any
<br />thereof for public purposes, and it is the opinion of the City Council that
<br />said property should be sold and conveyed into private o;mership in order that the
<br />same may again be placed upon the tax rolls of the City of Santa ;ma, and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, an offer has been made for the purchase of said parcels by
<br />private individuals and an opportunity has arisen to sell the same into private
<br />ownership;
<br />
<br /> NOW, Z~i~J±~EFORE, the City Council of thc City of Santa Aaa does hereby
<br />declare that it intends to and will at a regular meeting of said City Council
<br />to be held on the sizth day of t.iay, 1940, sell said property at the price
<br />hereinafter set forth immediately following the descriptions of s aid parcels to
<br />the person who has offered in writing to purchase the s~e at said price, unless
<br />at said meeting the City Council shall receive a bid for said parcels at least
<br />ten per cent (lO,J) in excess of said bid, in which event said prcperty will be
<br />sold to the highest bidder for cash at said me~ ting, and the ~iayor and City Clerk
<br />wi!.~ thereupon be directed to make, execute and deliver a deed to such property
<br />to the said highest bidder uponz~eefpt ,of the amount of said bid. The said
<br />property is described as follows:

<br /> West Fifth Street, with the Westerly line of Wectern
<br /> Avenue, and running thence Westerly along the North
<br /> li~e of West Fifth Btreet, 140 feet; thence Northerly
<br /> parallel with the center line of North Artesia Street
<br /> 1~5 feet; thence Easterly, psm~allel with the ~orth
<br /> line of West Fifth Street, 15S.85 feet more or less
<br /> to the West line of Western Avenue; thrace Southerly,
<br /> along said West line of Western Avenue, 1~5 feet to the
