,lectton boards and the polling places shall be those named and es- tablished by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange for the general election of November $, 1946. Section 5: That the polls shall be open between the hours of V o'clock A. M. and ? o~clock P. Me Section 8: That the election officers serving at said consolidated election to be held November 6, 1948, shall receive as compensation for their services in serving upon said election boa~ds, the sum to be fixed by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange. Section ?: That said election shall in all respects be conducted as provided by law. Section 8: The City Clerk is hereby directed and instructed to publish before the day of such election, by two insertions in the Santa Aha Register, a daily newspaper of general circulation, printed, pub- lished and circulated in the City of Santa Aha, a notice containing a synopsis of the question or measure to be submitted at said election, in the form and manner required by law. Section 9: The City Clerk shall cause the proposed ordinance or measure to be printed, and he shall m~il a copy thereof, enclosed in an envelope with a sample ballot to each voter at least ten days prior to the said election. Section 10: That in addition to the foregoing notice the City Clerk shall, not later than the thirty-first nor earlier t hah the six- tieth day before the election, give notice of said election by causing a notice of the same to be published at least once in the Santa Aha Register, a daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Santa Aha. Said notice shall be headed: "Notice of Election", and shall contain the information required by law. Section 11: That said ordinance proposed to be submitted to electors of the City of Santa Aha and hereunto annexed and marked Exhibit "A", shall be submitted to the electors at said special election under the following measure: "SANTA ANA EMPLO~:~: RETIREMENT PROPOSITION Shall the ordinance authorizing a contract be- tween the City Council of the City of Santa Ana and the Board of Administration, California State Employees' Retirement System, providing for the participation of said subdivision in said State Employees' Retirement System and mak- ing its employees members of said System, be adopted?"
