RESOLUTION NO. 3499 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE <br />CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />WIDENING AND RECONSTRUCTION OF WEST EDINGER <br />STREET, FROM FLOWA~{ STREET TO MAIN STREET, <br />IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, AND <br />FIXING THE PREVAILING WAGE RATE. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />advertise as required by law for the receipt of sealed bids or <br />proposals for the doing of the work specified in those certain plans <br />and specifications adopted this 16th day of September, 1946, by this <br />City Council for the-widening and reconstruction of West Edinger <br />Street, from Flower Street to Main Street, in the City of Santa Ana, <br />which said advertisement shall be substantially in the following <br />words and figures, to-wit: <br /> <br />NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS <br /> <br /> In pursuance of a resolution of the Board of Trustees of <br />the City of Santa Ana, Orange County, California, adopted directing <br />this notice, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the said Board of Trustees <br />will receive at the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of <br />the City of Santa Ana, o~ or before the hour of 7:30 o'clock, p.m., <br />October 7, 1946, sealed bids or proposals for the widening and <br />reconstruction of West Edinger Street from Flower Street to Main <br />Street. <br /> <br /> Bids must be made on a form provided for the purpose <br />addressed to the Board of Trustees, Santa Ana, California, marked <br />"Bid for Edinger Street Improvement". <br /> <br /> Notice is hereby given bidders that in accordance with <br />the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the Board of <br />Trustees of the City of Santa Aha has ascertained the prevailing <br />rate of per diem wages for each craft or type of workman or mechanic <br />needed to execute the contract which will be awarded the successful <br />bidder, to be as follows: <br /> <br />SKILLED LABOR <br /> <br />Classification <br /> <br />Tractor d~iver (50 H.P. and over) <br />Roller operator (P.M. surface finish) <br />Carpenter <br />Asphaltic plant engineer <br />Asphalt raker and ironer <br />Asphalt plant fireman <br />Operator of power shovel or other excavating <br /> equipment, shovel type controls, 1.O cu.yd, or more <br />Finisher concrete structures, curbs and sidewalks <br />Blade grader operator (finish work) <br />Struc~z~al steel worker <br />Reinforcing steel worker <br />Mixer box operator (A.C. plant) <br /> <br />Rate <br /> <br /> $ <br /> <br />per Hou~ <br /> <br />1.70 <br />1.75 <br />1.65 <br />1.575 <br />1o35 <br />le45 <br /> <br />1.90 <br />1.775 <br />1o825 <br />1.625 <br />1.775 <br />1.45 <br /> <br /> <br />
