The minimum wage paid to all intermediate labor for which rates are not shown above, shall be not less than $1.228 per hour ~ The minimum wage paid to all unskilled labor, for which rates are not shown above, shall be not less than $1.15 per hour. The foregoing prevailing wage schedules are based upon a working day of eight (8) hours, and in the event that laborers, workmen or mechanics are employed less than eight (8) hours per day, the rate of per diem wages shall be deemed to be that fraction of the foregoing rates that the number of hours of employment bears to eight (8). In accordance with the provisions of Section 1777.5 of the Labor Code as amended by Chapter 971, Statutes of 1939, and in accordance with the regulations of the California Apprenticeship Council, properly indentured apprentices may be employed in the prosecution of the work.
