RE$OLI.ITION NO. 3986 <br /> <br /> OF TBE <br /> <br />OITY OF SANTA ANA, i~g~,ATZNG TO I~I~T OONTROL <br /> <br /> WHEi~AS, a petition for the decontrol of ~ents in the <br />Oity of Santa Aha was heretofore filed with the Oity Oounoil <br />of the Olty of Santa An~; and a pul~lio hsa~lng was duly no- <br />ticed and held on 'the 5th day of May, 1950; and after full <br />public hea~ing ea£d Oity Oouncil declared on the l§th da2 <br />of May, 19~0, that there then no lo~ger existed in the Oity <br />of Santa Ana, such a shortage of rental housing aocommoda- <br />rices as to require rent control in such City; and <br /> <br /> ~HEi~AS, the Governor of the State of Califo~nia did <br />not approve or disapprove the action of the Oity Oouncil of <br />the Olty of Santa Ana and did not, before July l, 1950, <br />give his written approval; and <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, the Housing Expediter of the United States <br />ruled that the failure of the Governor of the State of Cali- <br />fornia to act on the resolution of the City Council of the <br />0ity of Santa Aha, .required a new heaxiag ~efore rents could <br />be decontrolled in the 0ity of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha duly <br />fixed the 25th day of A~gust, 1950, at the hou~ of 7:~0 P.M., <br />in the Council Cham~ers, in the 0ity Hall, at the Southeast <br />corner of Third and Main Streets, in Santa Aha, California, <br />as the date, ti~e, place and purpose of a public hea~ing to <br />consider the question of decontrol of rents; and <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, a notice of such public hearing was published <br /> <br />once in the Santa A~ l~dependent, a newspaper of general cir- <br />culation, in the Oity~of Santa Ana, on the 9th day of August, <br /> <br /> <br />
