WEST <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4022 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING SPECIAL COUNSEL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been filed in the Superior Court of Orange <br />County that certain action known as THOMAS E. DAVIS vs. THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, et al, being the Superior Court of Orange County <br />No. 55205, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection therewith it is necessary that the <br />City of Santa Ana, the members of the City Council, and other city <br />officers therein made defendants, be represented by counsel. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby authorizes the employment of Z. B. WEST as special counsel <br />to handle all proceedings necessary to properly defend said action; <br />and that he be authorized to associate with him counsel of his own <br />choice to assist in said litigation; that the compensation to be <br />paid for said services shall be the reasonable value thereof based <br />upon accepted charges for simila~ services in the County of Orange. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City Clerk of the <br />City of Santa Aha are authorized and instructed to enter into a <br />written contract with the said Z. B.
