138 ORDINANCE NO. 605. An Ordinance Prohibiting Runners and Soliciting Agents From Soliciting Patronage on Railroad trains and cars within the City of Santa Ana without t~he consent of the Owner thereof and pr~- scribing a ~enalty therefor. The Board of Trustees cf the se £ol!ows:- Section 1. That it shall be City of Santa Ana, do ordain unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to solioit patronage for or on behalf of any per- son, firm or corporation engaged in the business of transporting or transferring persons or property or baggage, or to solicit 1~ tronage for or on behalf of any hotel, lodging house, cafe, res- taurant or boarding house in or upon any railroad train or ear within the limits of the City of Santa Ama without the written consent of the owner of such railroad train or car. Section 2. Any person who shall violate any of the pro- visions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty efa misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not to exceed One Hundred Dollars, ($100.00) or by imprisonment in thc County Jail for a period not to exceed 50 days or by both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Oourt. Section 3. ten days after vided by law. Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish this Ordinance in the "~;ening Blade" a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Santa Ama, and ten days thereafter it shall take effect and be in for~e.
