<br /> AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL PERSONS IN THE ~ITY OF
<br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, DEALING IN SECOND HAND MOTORCYCLES, BI-
<br />CYCLES, JUNK, DIA~{ONDS, AND ALL PRECIOUS STONES, JEWELRY,
<br />SILVERWARE, OLD GOLD AND SILVER, OLOTHING, TOOLS, I{ARNESS, ROBES,
<br />~HIPS, GARDEN HOSE, PIREARMS, WATCHES OR MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS OR
<br />ANY AND ALL SECOND HAND ARTICLE OR ARTIOLES, TO MAKE OUT AND
<br />DELIVER DAILY TO THE 0IT¥ MARSHAL OF THE CITY OP SANTA ANA, OR TO
<br />HIS ASSISTANTS OR REPRESENTATIVES A REPORT OF ALL PURCHASES AND
<br />SALES OF ANY SUCH SECOND HAND ARTICLES MADE BT THEM WITHIN ONE
<br />DAY NEXT PRECEDING SAID REPORT, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
<br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING ~ENALTIES
<br />
<br />FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.

<br /> The Board sf Trustees of the City af Santa Ana,dp
<br />
<br /> ordain as follows:-
<br />
<br /> 8ection 1. That every person, firm or corperation
<br />buying, selling or otherwise dealing as a business in second
<br />hand motorcycles or second-hand bicycles, diamonds, and all
<br />precious stones, silverware, Jewelry, old gold or silver,clothing,
<br />tools, harness, robes, whips, garden hose, firea~'ms, Junk,watches
<br />or musical instrument, or any other second hand article or either
<br />or any of said articles within the City of ~anta Ana,Oalifornia,
<br />shall keep a record of all such articles so purchased which shall
<br />at all times during business hours be open to the inspection of
<br />the City Marshal or any police officer of the City ~f Santa Ana
<br />and shall daily make out and deliver to the City Marshal of the
<br />said City of Santa Ana, or to the officer in charge at police
<br />headquarters on a blank form to be furnished by said City Marshal
<br />for that purpose, a true and Complete report of all second-hand
<br />motorcycles or second-hand bicycles, diamonds and all precious
<br />stones, silverware, Jewelry, old gold or silver, clothing, tools,
<br />harness, robes, whips, garden hose, firearms, Junk, watches or
<br />musical instruments or any other second-hand article, or either
<br />or any of said articles or things purchased, sold or otherwise
<br />dealt in with or by such person, firm or corporation within said
<br />City of Santa Ana, the day preceding said report, together with
<br />the time (meaning the hour of ~a~) when purchased or sold or
<br />otherwise dealt in or with, and the description ~f the persen or
<br />persons from whom bought or to whom sold or with whom otherwise
<br />dealt with and also the true name as near as the same can be ob-
<br />tained by the person~ firm or corporation making such report;
<br />said report shall be written in the ~nglish language in a clear
<br />legible manner.

<br /> Section E. The City Marshal of said City of Santa ~&
<br />
<br />shall immediately upon the adoption and publication of this Ordi-
<br />nance cause such a number of blanks to be printed as may be necess-
<br />ary for that purpose and shall thereafter from time to time cause
<br />
