195 <br /> <br />height of the soil or waste stacks so measured shall exceed <br />forty (40) feet, the upper forty (40) feet thereof and all' <br />connections therewith m~y be of a grade of pipe known as <br />"Standard". <br /> <br /> SECTION 35 - WEIGHT OF ~IXTHA HEAV%f PIPE: The grade <br />of pipe known as "extra heavy" shall be of the following <br /> <br />we~g..t per lineal feet: <br /> <br />Two inch (2") .5 1/~ lbs. per lineal foot. <br /> <br />Four " (4") 13 <br />Five " (5") 1V <br />Si~ " (6") ~' " ~' " <br /> <br />SECTION <br /> <br />36 - FOUR INCH SOIL VENT: Except as other- <br /> <br /> wise provided in this ordinance, every building in which there <br /> is a plumbing or drainage system shall be provided with a <br /> ventilating stack at least four (4) inches in diameter. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3V - SOIL AND WASTE PIPES: All soil or waste <br /> pipes two (2) inches or more in diameter shall be of cast iron <br /> coated inside and out with liquid asphalt, nil waste pipes <br /> less than two (2) inches in diameter shall be of lead. <br /> <br /> SECTION 38 - GRADE OF HORIZONTAL PIPES. Alt horizon- <br />t,1 soil pines, w~ste pipes or house sewers shall be in practi- <br />cal ~li~nment and have a uniform gr,de of not less than one <br />quarter of an inch (1/4") p~r foot. Provided, however, that <br />such piping may be laid with a fall of less than one eig~-~h~B-f-- <br />an inch (1/8") per foot, if sanitary drainage can be obtained <br />thereby. The Plum~ing Inspector shall determine in any case <br />whether or n~ sanitary drainage to any piping can be obtained <br />with a fall of less than one quarter (1/4) of an inch per foot. <br /> <br /> SECTION 39 - CHANGE OF E~RECTIONS: Each drainage and <br />plumbing pipe shall be rigidly secured or supported to keep its <br />alignment and grade, and all changes of direction, either hori- <br />zontal or vertiesl, sh~ll be made with the apr, ropriate uses of <br />Y's, half Y.'s, sanitary T Y's, long sweep quarter, sixth, eighth <br />or sixteenth bends. <br /> <br /> SECTION 40 - INCREASERS AND REDUCERS: Increase or re- <br />duction in size shall be made by the use of a prooer fitting. <br /> <br /> SECTION 41 - DOUBLE HUBS AND SANITARY TEES: N~ double <br />hub, double T or sanitary T branches shall be used on horizontal <br />runs, nor shall double hubs or straight crosses be used on the <br />soil or waste lines, saddle hubs and bands sre in ~11 cases pro- <br />hibited. <br /> <br /> SECTION 42 - FIXTURES SIqALL WASTE, WHERE: It shall be <br />unlawful to cause, suffer or permit the dispos~ of any lavatory, <br />bathtub, sink, slop sink, wash tray, water closet or other plum- <br />bing fixture in any other p~ace or manner than into a public <br />sewer or into an approved cessoool. <br /> <br /> SECTION 43 - BOILER BLOW-OFF: The exhaust, blow'off, <br />sediment or drip nipe from any steam boiler shall not be connec- <br />ted directly with any sewer, drain, soil or waste pipe.
