Where more t~,n one <br />slop sink is vented throuFh the same vent <br />pipe shall be as follows: <br /> <br />(1) water closet or <br />pipe, the size of such <br /> <br />For more than one (1) and not exceeding four (4) water <br /> closets of slop sinks ......... 2 in. <br />For more tb.n four (4) and not exceeding eight2 1/2 in <br />For more than eight (8) and not exceeding fourteen <br /> ........ 5 inches] <br />For more than fourteen (14) and not exceeding <br /> twenty-four (24) .............. 4 inches <br /> <br /> SECTION 54 - WATER CLOSETS SET BACK TO BACK: Where <br />two (2) w~ter closets or trap standard slo~ sinks are set back <br />to back and waste into one four (4) inch fitting, such closets <br />or s~nks may be ventilated by one two (2) inch pipe taken from <br />the center opening in the fitting, provided the vemtilating <br />pipe rises perpendicularly to a point st least six (8) inches <br />able the top of the fixtures. <br /> <br /> SECTION 58 - GALVANIZED AND CAST IRON VENTS: Every <br />ventilating pipe shall be carried up to within six (~) inches <br />of the highest point of the roof, and every vent pipe and its <br />fittings shall be of ~alvanized iron screw pipe or cast iron. <br />Provided, however, that c~st iron pipe sh. ll be required where <br />the ventilating nine is buried in the ground. <br /> <br />SECTION ~8 - VENTS - TWELVE FO6T F~DIUS: All traps, <br />to fixtures shall be aeparately and effectively vented ard ali <br /> <br /> radius of twelve (12) feet may converge <br /> <br />vent pipes within <br />into one pipe. <br /> <br /> SECTION <br /> <br /> - FIFTEEN FOOT HORIZONTAL VENT: No vent <br /> <br />pipe running in s horizontal direction shall exceed fifteen <br />(15) feet in length, and each such pipa sh~ll have a fall of <br />not less than one quarter (l/A) inch per foot. <br /> <br /> SECTION 58 - VENT FOR TWO INCH WASTE PIPE: No small <br />fixture having s waste oipe Of two (2) inches or less and located-~ <br />on a house sewer which has a four (4) inch ventilating stack, <br />need have a ventilating pipe larger than the waste line. <br /> <br /> SECTION 59 - SEWER VENTILATOR: No brick, sheet metal, <br />earthenware or chimney flue shall be used as a sewer ventilator <br />or to ventilate any trap, drsln, soil or waste pipe. <br /> <br /> SECTION ~0 - TOP FIXTURE: A fi×ture which is a top <br />fixture oua vertical stack and not more than two (2) feet from <br />the inlet to the stack need not have its trap revented, provi- <br />ded that it d~es not discharge into the stack below the level <br />of the tr~p seal, except water closets whose trap is in the bowl. <br /> <br /> SEgTION 81 - ONE AND ONE HALF (1 1/2) INCH COUPLING <br />REQUIRED: Where s cohnection is ~ade between ~ one and cue half <br />(1 1/2) inch wrought ir6n pipe and a two~(2) inch c.st iron hub, <br /> <br /> <br />
