C. Description of the specific outcomes to be achieved. <br /> <br /> Program outcomes we plan to achieve are as follows: 1.56% of enrolled participants will <br />attain unsubsidized employment. 2.72% of enrolled participants will be employed in the third <br />quarter after exit (Youth who have entered post-secondary education and/or advanced <br />training are excluded from the calculation). 3. The total post-program earnings of youth <br />employed in first quarter after exit will be $2600.00 (youth who have entered post-secondary <br />education and/or advanced training are excluded) 4.42% of youth enrolled in program will <br />receive a high school diploma or its equivalent. <br /> <br />III. Local Collaboration <br /> <br />A. Description of how the services provided by this project support and complement other <br /> local WIA activities. <br /> <br />This project complements the LWIB youth strategy and current youth contracts in that it <br />targets older youth who have not completed their formal education and offers competencies <br />attainment workshops which is not currently offered by the current LWIB youth contractors. <br />Youth who do not enroll will also have access to the One-Stop facility and as appropriate be <br />referred to occupational skills courses. <br /> <br />Youth Services (Complete only if providing services to youth) <br /> <br /> Check the applicable services that will be available to youth participants: <br />[~ Tutoring, study skills training and instruction leading to secondary school <br /> <br />completion, including dropout prevention strategies. <br /> <br />Alternative secondary school offerings. <br /> <br />Summer employment opportunities directly linked to academic and occupational <br />learning. <br /> <br />Paid and unpaid work experiences, including internships and job shadowing. <br /> <br />Occupational skill training. <br /> <br />Leadership development opportunities. <br /> <br />Supportive services. <br /> <br />Adult mentoring. <br /> <br />Follow-up services. <br /> <br />Comprehensive guidance and counseling. <br /> <br />]6 <br /> <br /> <br />
