Section 2: That this Ordinance is urgently required for <br />the immediate public health, peace and safety. The following is <br />a specific statement showing the urgency of this Ordinance: That <br />the revenue to be derived from the taxes to be levied and collec- <br />ted in accordance with the terms of Ordinance No. 1305, necessary <br />for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety and in <br />order that said Ordinance No. 1305 may be in effect in time required <br />for the ensuing year's tax levy, this amendment thereto is imme- <br />diately required to prevent a failure to levy taxes and to make said <br />Ordinanc~e comply with the State law as hereinabove set out; there- <br />fore, the City Council declares that this Ordinance shall take ef- <br />fect as, and is adopted as,.an esergency measure and that it be <br />in effect immediately from and after its adoption. It is pro- <br />vided, however, that in event the provisions declaring this emer- <br />gency shall be held invalid for any reason, then and in that event, <br />this Ordinance shall never-the-less, take effect from and after the <br />adoption thereof as hereinbelow set out, and thereafter shall be <br />in full force and effect. <br /> <br /> ~ection 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and <br />adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published <br />in three consecutive issues of the Santa Aha Independent, a news- <br />paper printed, published and circulated in the City of Santa Aha <br />and hereby designated for that purpose. <br /> <br />PASSED A~DADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha as an emergency Ordinance at its adjourned regularPmeeting held <br /> <br />on the 25th day of August, <br />ATTEST :~~___.. <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> <br />1950. <br /> <br />(SEAL ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
